Question about Heating & Cooling
Needing white plastic control knobs for my window unit.
Cant find model number or BTU but I think it is 12,000 BTU. Control knobs are located on the left of the unit and are in an open area with no door that closes in front of the knobs. Uses replaceable filters not the washable permanent type. Hope this helps figure out which model I have
Both control knobs are identical in size 1/1/2 in diameter
If you can direct me to a site that sells them cheap or any other info I would be very grateful

Hi, It opens a flap that allows fresh outside air to come in. The opening it screen covered on most units so no insects get in. To get the most cooling it is best to leave it closed. If you want fresher air, open it. Please rate my suggestion if it has helped. Thank you and, Have a good day. kstfas

567C024RCU In this model number is the # 24. That stands for 24,000 btu's. This is a two (2) ton unit. Has this two ton unit cooled ok in the past? if so replace with the same size. But make sure yo change the indoor coil to match the size "and" efficiancy of the ew unit.

SOURCE: Error code A5 on Frigidaire
I have a Frigidaire model FAK104R1V window air conditioner that did the same AS error code. The problem is going to be one of the 2 temperature sensors in the unit. Mine happened to be the ambient temperature sensor located at the front of the unit. They are fairly easy to replace and you can buy a new sensor for about $15 online.
