I have a crosley autorama cr712 turntable without a remote.. can i work it without the remote and how can i buy one.

You lift the tone arm by hand and as you put it over the record it should start turning automatically. Generic remotes {Target, K-Mart, etc} have a listing on the package that will tell you what it will work. Seek and you shall find {^;^}

How to replace a belt on a turntable

Generic instructions for replacing a belt on a turntable such as yours are here:
http://www.gbaudio.co.uk/data/belts.htm

If you have trouble lifting the platter off, use the finger holes and lift. A gentle tap on the spindle (with the handle of a screwdriver, for example) ought to free things up.

Hi, if your not plugged into your amp via a dedicated phiono input, Ie CD or Aux then you need a preamp to boost the line levels. Cheers john. Styluscity

Turntable will not spin

Sound to me like the belt has snapped on your turntable. To replace, lift the platter oof the table and check the inside of the platter. You will notice a second ring, or rim. the belt should be put on the outside of the second rim while the platter is still in your hands. Next, slide back the platter and look for the spindle running the platter through one of the big holes in the platter. Slip the belt onto the spindle and turn with your hand to make sure it runs freely. Hope this helpsmicmor100.jpg

Difficulty balancing the tone arm on kd-1033 turntable.

A new stylus should not change the tone arm balance setting if it is the correct stylus.

Does your arm have a sliding balance weight at the rear of the arm? If so you can slide this slightly towards the cartridge to regain the correct playing weight.

I would suggest you get a repair shop to do this for you, or you could finish up damaging your records.
