Question about Bose Lifestyle 28 System
I have just setup my Lifestyle 28 System. I have been having problems intermittently when switching between components where the surround sound feature will turn off and revert to onlt front speakers working. I subsequently shut off the acoustimas module and turned it back on. Now none of the speakers will work at all and I am getting the following error when running setup CD - "CUSTOM EQ ERROR:10" Call Bose......
Hi, I have just had the same problem and the advice from BOSE was to turn everything off and disconnect the sub from the main unit, wait 10 mins and turn everything back on, making sure to turn the sub on first.
As it happens i then noticed I had connected the sub via the BOSE link speakers plug to the main unit rather than the correct "MAIN" socket. - so if you are reading this you know I am a fool! But the sound now works.
Basically BOSE confirmed the reason for error 10 is that the main unit is not detecting the sub and speakers.
Anyway, I hope my foolish mistake, helps save time and blushes for anyone reading this link.

Unplug the lifestyle system, while it is unplugged, turn off the accoustimass module.... wait for about 1 minute, turn the acoustimass module on then plug the ligestyle system back in! I checked the coections on the lifestyle system and found that the din plug was not quite in all of the way. I hope this helps!

I had the same problem but it was a stupid mistake, i forgot to flick the power switch on the acoustimass module! In short it means for some reason the accoustimass module is having trouble communicating with the lifestyle centre.

I have encountered the same problem Error 10 and just followed what jason written. I suggest whatever happen don't panic. Realize that you have missed some steps when Bose doesn't work.
Check manuals and it will guide you.
