Re: software vivicam35 upgraded to vista need drivers
I followed up on the www.sq.com.tw/drivers on my computer and successfully installed what appears to be similar software to the original Vivicam35. ( I REALLY like the orig way better). Once installed, the file on my desktop calls it: MyDSC2 . Now, my Vivicam35 works as camera, and pc cam, right here on my Vista. I'm thrilled that it's all working; I just wish it was like the original.

With all digital cameras the maker delivers a CD (DVD) with software to install on your computer. This makes it possible to put the pictures from the camera on any computer. On the disk(s) are drivers for all operating systems that need them. (Windows 7 and up do have all drivers for hardware that is certified by Microsoft) And there are programs to download the pictures from the camera to the PC. Sometimes the manufactures also delivers software to organise the pictures in folders and software to view or even enhance the pictures you shot.
When you lost the disk, most of the time you can get the software on the website for your brand. Sometimes you even get newer, updated software and new drivers if needed.
If you can't get software form your brand, you always can install other generic software like Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop express. Or if that is not possible you could install an external memory card reader and download the pictures via de memory card reader.
Maybe the disk is foe a different operating system.
sometime you can go on line and download drivers
for the newer operating system from the cameras
type in the model and look for drivers for your operating system.
if this does not work explain more to me about what the program on the disk is called and what operating system you are using.

where did you lost it? anyway, since youve lost the installation disk for your camera, please look up to your cameras manufacturers website and see if they have drivers and software for you to download. if they do. download the driver and software and be sure to burn them unto a disk so that youll have another copy for your installation disk for your cam ok.
