I have a Sony TRV33E

I have a Sony TRV33E digital mini DV camcorder which has some problems. I keep getting the C:31:30/C:32:30 error codes. First I couldn't get the tape to eject, then I couldn't get the tape bay to close. Then I got a tape to run but rather poorly. I've tried taking the battery out for a few hours, using only the AC power supply, resetting the unit and I've even left it in the airing cupboard for a few days. Now the tape bay won't close and I get the error C:30:31. The unit is around four years old but has hardly been used (max 6 hours). I did have this problem before and it seemed to me condensation. I'm torn between getting a new one or getting this one repaired. Over to you... Thanks.
