I have apassword to my laptop, but its not accepting it anymore after i tried to reset it using an xp cd i borrowed, now it keep saying password not correct.i have tried F8 to get into safe mode, but that is not working either as it brings me to the password window.
How can i factory reset without having to log on at all.

Try using an antivirus or antispyware scan to see what may be causing this to run slow. Often one of theses nasties causes this. If it is slower than it used to be i would suspect an infection.
I suggest Malwarebytes to protect it in the future as well as AVG free antivirus.
Also try reducing some of the initial opening programs on the taskbar. Type MSCONFIG on RUN and take some of those progs off to see if that helps it to open and run better you can always retick them one at a time to see which one causes the most problem. When the system start just press "Del" or "F2" and the enter in BIOS setup.

Hello, The issue is with the driver compatibility. First I would ask if the recovery is latest? Or else after the recovery update it with the web so as to get the latest service pack like sp3 for windows xp.
Second thing is that you can try to download the latest driver from the lexmark manufacturer. Sometime with the latest driver update and will correct the the bugs. Try this...
well, i have had the same promblem,hate to say it but sometimes the type you bought isn't compatable with your laptop ...mite consider saleing that one and asking samsung what kind of cdrw's will work with that laptop
her i think your problem is on operating system(OS) lavel and u need to recover yr os with recover dvd or recover disk whitch provide with yr laptop and if you need to reset factory setting you have to go on bios setup screen
1 start laptop
2 press F10 button
3 then go to last screen ad find " setup defullt opetimeze"
4 then got to save and exti button
