Can you share the source from which you found the "Saeco-X1" element? ("...The part number for the Saaco is MCP 42 07. The element is 120 Volts and 900 Watts....") My quick Google search hasn't taken me anywhere easily yet.
My X5 appears as if it has the identical element - 1-1/2" ID, 2-3/8" OD, 2-1/2" from flat side to bulkhead seals, and about a 1-9/16" center-center at the terminals, same four element turns...and yeah, it's all really metric, but...

Where to get extra parts for the Francis Francis X5 Espresso machine? I am looking for 1 and 2 cup filter baskets (for ground coffee). I have searched the internet for hours and - no luck! Not on Illy's page; not Amazon; not ebay; not italian coffee/accessories distributors. Does anyone know where to buy them? Thanks in advance!

My FrancisFrancis! X5 isn't working today. When I flicked the switch on the power light and the steam light did not illuminate. I toggled the switch a little and the lights briefly flashed but wouldn't stay on. I tried removing the plug on both ends and replacing it, making sure it was in solidly. Now when I flick the switch I get no flash or just the quickest, faintest flash. I tried leaving the switch on for 20 minutes or so just to see if it boiled any, but it did not. I imagine I'm going to have to send this thing in AGAIN. Not happy about it--it was less than a year ago that I sent it to them for thermostat repair. Now bigger and badder things seem to be wrong.
