You are better off getting the wire harness for your vehicle goto circuit city they will have the wire harness you need and the smart cable for the jensen head unit so there will be no cutting just plug it in and go what is the make and model and year of your car ?

All car stereo's are internaly grounded, so just connect the ground wire to the stereo chasis.

I've got a 1988 Dodge Ram and I know nothing about Car Stereos

go down to a electronics shop (future shop or best buy) and they will have a connector that will fit the original plug. Some splicing will be required but its all color coded with the deck
hope this helps

Cant program car radio

Sorry to say, but you will have to pull the unit and locate the wiring to it. Have a tester for dc voltage and find the power wire that goes on and off with your key. Once that wire has been identified, Find a wire that has 12vdc all the time even with the key off and go to the one that went off and on and cut it. The wire going to the unit strip and splice to 12vdc that is on all the time. Cap and tape the wire you cut that leads away from the unit.

Clock on car radio

Hi blackie - I could tell you how to do it but I believe it is easier if you look at the manual with the pictures. Below you'll find a link for your manual. After clicking on the link just click on manual for MP5610 next to the red dot. It's in English and Spanish but it's ok to read it. I believe you want pages 9 and 10 for the menu and the clock. If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.
