You have a part failing in the high voltage circuits that supply the Plasma display, this will most likely require a entire new circuit board, in short it will end up being cheaper to replace the TV, the new LCD"s are cheap and very reliable.

Ohms was on the right track. A brighter picture will require more power. There is a problem within the power supply and the protection circuits are kicking in to prevent further damage. Since this works for a while before the problem shows up, I'd be looking for either connection problems or a heat related component failure. This is not likely to be diagnosed remotely. A service tech will need to reproduce the problem and then use a "freeze spray" to locate the offending component. Since there are high voltages inside and the panel is very fragile, I would suggest that a service center be used for this repair.

When it's BRIGHT, more power is needed (by default screen color is DARK so low or no power is needed).

Internal electronics issue. Got the know-how to look at electronics ?

Hi Friend,
Please folliow the below steps one by one

Step 1: Turn on the TV

Step 2: Hold the ON/OFF Button for 10 to 20 Secs

Step 3:Without taking the hand from the ON/OFF button unplug the power cable connected to the wall outlet from the TV

I need the service mode sequence for my philips 51pp9100d/37 so I can manually change the resolution on my tv. The resolution somehow was changed and when I HDMI my laptop to the tv it wont display t

I suspect that you may be using a cable or sat box rather than that set's internal atsc tuner.
Sometimes these boxes are not set up properly or reset themselves to a lower resolution.
Go into your box's settings menu nd look for the resolution settings. Verify that all of the modes or at least the maximum resolution for your set is enabled.

My Sampo 50" Plasma tv has started blinking

In my solution I suggested part-store where you can find boards for your tv. I'm not sure what board is defective as TV isn't in front of me and in my opinion you need qualified tech person to identify what board is required to resolve the TV issue.
Thank you.
