Pinnacle Express Ver 1.05 and Studio 7.09 both install, but when I attempt to launch - they both crash - they do not open at all. The error detail for Pinnacle Express is headed with: AppName: pexpress.exe AppVer: 1.0.5.2 ModName: cpuinf32.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0000166c I have run a registry cleaner and replaced the cpuinf32.dll file - still no luck and very frustrating any suggestions?

    Yes - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling - no success.

Put your software disc back in and open it in explrorer. Right click on properties, compatibilty, "click" run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP then install the program

Cpuinf32.dll - Here is the scoop on Cpuinf32 Library as it pertains to computer network security

The cpuinf32.dll library contains program code used by Logitech Desktop Messenger. If cpuinf32.dll is unavailable or stopped, Desktop Messenger may not function correctly. If you use Desktop Messenger you should leave cpuinf32.dll, unless it is causing problems for your system.
cpuinf32.dll is an application that does NOT appear to be a security risk
The Process Server database currently registers cpuinf32.dll to Logitech.
This is part of Desktop Messenger.

The Process Server database is updated often, but inaccuracies may still exist, often caused by viruses named after valid files such as Cpuinf32 Library. Always verify your results just to play it safe.

actually if this error appears to you means this is due to the virus / spyware attack ....

    Some anti malware removed the DLL but failed to remove the line item ... The DLL "cpuinf32.dll" can not be loaded

    install some updated antivirus and scan your system you will get detected with that item and then delete that one ... after that you try installing that you will surely able to run those softwares ...

    the location of the file is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\cpuinf32.dll
    (it depends on which drive you installed the operating system)

    try the delete on reboot method in killbox!

    after downloading the killbox.exe then

    Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Now put a tick by Delete on

    Reboot. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each

    of the following lines one at a time then click on the button that has

    the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file.

    It will ask for confimation to delete the file on next reboot. Click

    Yes. It will then ask if you want to reboot now. Click No. Continue

    with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of

    these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.Then click yes

    to reboot after you entered the last one.



    Note: It is possible that Killbox will tell you that one or more files do not

    exist. If that happens, just continue on with all the files. Be sure you

    don't miss any.

TRY TO INSTALL ON A DIFFERENT COMPUTER
>OR see which software is causing it.(install on at a time) test it
and see which one crashes

There might be a conflicting application on your system. Try to disable running apps like Antivirus, Limewire, Firewalls like zone alarm, norton, mcaffe, or any video editing software like photoshop, also autocad if you have one. Disable also any malware, spyware and the likes. Other than that, there's a OS compatibility issue with that software that you are trying to install.

Try first to uninstall/reinstall the Pinnacle Express and hopefully that will fix this concern..

What does ng studio has stopped working mean?


It's a program error. It basically means that the program has ceased to function properly. It could be that when you try an export a certain type of file it causes a problem with your system and so it crashes. You could try exporting in a different format. If the problem persist there are two options. One is to contact Pinnacle. Sometimes they have an update that corrects the problem. The other alterative is to re-install the software. Sometimes when you get a crash the software can become corrupted and so needs re-installing.

As with all video editing software save your work often. As crashes are common place to most software of these types.

you should have to reinstall that.
it may be because of low video memory

if re installation does not work then download tuneup 2010 and clean physical memory .

still have problem then take another installation of it

How To re-install all versions of Studio onto a clean computer


  • Copy all the content of the Installation DVD of Studio version 11 to your hard disk in a new folder.
  • Download http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFiles/Studio11/WelcomeSP3.exe
  • Copy the file WelcomeSP3.exe to the root of the directory where the Installation DVD was copy
  • Double-click on WelcomeSP3.exe to launch it. It will take few seconds and then the Studio version 11 installation will start.

May 19th, 2008: A problem was identified on systems with Studio 10.7 or 10.8 and where Windows XP SP3 was installed. Studio 10 can not be uninstalled from Start => Programs => Studio 10 => Tools or from Add/Remove Programs.

Workaround:
Insert your original Studio 10 Installation Disk and let the autostart launch. You should then have the possibility to either repair or remove the software. Please select REMOVE and Studio uninstall will then start.

Pinnacle Studio Plus version 10 Keeps Crashing


If you are getting any type of error message or warning message (except a fatal crash message), then , click here to see the FAQ titled "Studio Launch error/warning messages" to resolve these issues. For a fatal crash or any type of lockup/freezing while launching, continue with this FAQ, below.
If Studio was launching for some period of time and then it stopped launching, it is best to try to determine what changes have been made to the computer recently and undo the changes to see if it has an affect on the problem. Here's a short list of what could affect Studio's ability to launch:
  • A Studio patch was applied but it didn't install properly
  • The graphics driver was updated
  • Hardware was installed
We recommend using Windows XP System Restore. You can obtain more information on how System Restore works from the Microsoft web site at:

Troubleshooting steps for Studio hangs or crashing while launching (starting)
1. RESTART THE COMPUTER. Try restarting the computer
2. WAIT A FEW MINUTES: If Studio still won't launch, wait a few minutes to let it finish launching. We have noticed on some computers that it may take a little while for Studio to completely launch. Studio 10 users click here to see the FAQ on this.
3. LATEST VERSION OF STUDIO. There was a launch problems in previous versions of Studio 10 that are now fixed in the latest version. When troubleshooting any problem, it is always best to be on the latest version of the software.
If you have Studio version 12, download the latest version here.

If you have Studio version 11, download the latest version here.

If you have Studio version 10, download the latest version here .

Note: Studio 11 patches will only patch a previous install of Studio 11. Studio 10 patches will only patch a previous install of Studio 10. Etc.

If you have an older version of Studio (Studio 9 or 10, etc), it is advised for you to update to the current Studio software. The current version is Studio 12. Click Here to go to the Studio 12 Upgrade page.

How to download and install a patch:
  • When downloading the patch make a note of where it is being saved to. We recommend saving the patch to the desktop.
  • Before installing the patch, make sure that you do not have any other programs running. Studio must not be running.

  • Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the installation. Reboot the computer after applying the patch.

4. SAFE MODE: Try launching Studio in Safe mode. In Safe mode, many device drivers and applications do not load. If Studio will launch in safe mode, then the issue is most likely a configuration problem with your computer. NOTE: We do not recommend using Studio in Safe Mode. This step is for testing purposes only. To start in Safe mode:
  • Shut down the computer
  • When you turn it back on, tap the F8 key every couple seconds until a menu pops up. (If the XP splash screen appears, the F8 keys was pressed too late so restart the computer and try this step again)
  • On the menu, choose Safe Mode, and then press the Enter key
  • Launch Studio
If you need help starting in Safe mode, you can click here to get information on Microsoft's web site
If Studio won't launch in Safe mode, then Studio many not be installed properly or the install may be corrupt. We recommend uninstalling and reinstalling Studio.
