When using skype I can see and hear my contact but thye cannot see me. my webcam is working as I can see myself on screen why cant they see me?

First you test your camera by choosing the option of Scanners and Cameras wizard in control panel. There you will see the camera just click it will on then you will be able to shoot the picture and video. If you are able to shoot that means there is no issue with camera it is installed and working fine .if it not then you need to install the camera driver.

If driver is already there then you check the setting in Skype like tools go to option in that you will see the video setting in that choose the default camera which is installed and apply it.

We have a logitech camera and skype. We can see ourselves in the test. We can see and hear one of our contacts. They can't see us, but they can see us. Our other contact can see and hear us, but we can't...

Go into the skype setup and access the webcam from there and test setup sound / picture etc.

Ensure you tick a box that says "Show video as soon as connection is made" or similar.

When I make a video there is no sound, the picture is fine.

You have to see it up for Skype and also to user on computer.
Go to Control Panel and click on Sounds, then Click on Microphones and click on the Drop Down window and select the Camera Microphone. Then click on OK and it should work.

Sound - no video

Both try using windows live and set up audio and video in the settings as you did with Skpe, as it's a similair programme and supports any camera. If that works better then Skype has a problem with your camera makes.
