Most of the newer fridges do come out with an electronic circuit board in the back but that dosent mean the board is bad...there is a three prong adaptler that hooks to your compressor that may have gone bad thus the error colde and the non cooling.its about a 15.00 part and easy to replace and it will be the only plug on the compressor.all it does is unplug and you put the new one in in its place...this relay helps control temp and the compressor and one other thing i cant remember right off.in any event i think it will take car of the problem

  • Check the temperature setting
  • Make certain there is a three inch space outside of the refrigerator between the walls and the back and sides and at least a one inch gap above, to allow for air flow
  • Clean the condensor coils
  • Unplug the refrigerator, wait two hours and plug it in. If you hear it running, a problem is causing the compressor to overheat
  • Test the temperature control
  • Test the evaporator fan
  • Test the defrost timer
  • Test the compressor relay
  • Test the overload protector
  • Test the compressor motor

Most likely is a bad circuit board. You should have a qualified technician service it. If you need any further assistance let me know. If you have a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly iI would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
lee

The display stopped showing temps and displayed a "6". The actual temperatures dropped to freezing. I unplugged the unit a few times for up to 2 days but the same issue developed.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Error Code: Flashing 6 on the fridge display
Condition: The 6th Sense technology is activated - If you put warm food in the refrigerator or leave the door open, the 6th Sense technology kicks on to return the refrigerator to the set temperature. The flashing 6 should go away once it gets back to the right temperature.
Part or Parts: Allow fridge to get back to temp on its own (no parts required)
Whirlpool Refrigerator Error Code: 6 on the fridge display
Condition: Computer error
Check: Remove power for 5 minutes
Part or Parts: If code returns replace mother board

Fridgidaire refrigerator flashing error code 4

From what I remember a flashing 4 means "damper error". Send your model number found inside or on the outside of the fresh food section, The air damper is found between the freezer and fresh food section and regulates temperature in the fresh food section by opening wide for things that warm up your fresh food section example would be opening the door and letting warm air inside . The damper then closes to keep the right temperature. If you have questions please ask, Thanks Sea Breeze

Liebherr frost free fridge/freezer

Try these solutions in these order:
1. Switch off the fridge and leave the door open overnight. Switch it back on in the morning.
Explanation: The sensor inside the fridge gets frozen and cannot control the temperature properly.
2. Switch off the fridge. Unplug it. At the back of the fridge (behind the unit, not inside) there is a large grid. Clean it with a hoover thoroughly. Open the fridge. Dry the back of the fridge if wet (inside the fridge). If frosted wait for it to defrost and then dry it. Plug in the fridge. Switch the fridge back on. This one worked for me.
Explanation: The dust in the grid deprives the fridge from cooling down and the unit can't control the temperature in the fridge section.
3. Switch off the fridge. -Unplug it. Empty it. Turn it upside down. Plug it in. Switch it on for 24 hours. Switch it off. Unplug, return to normal and switch on.
Explanation: This has to do with the pressure of the gas inside the compressor. I have not tried it but this advice as given to me by a qualified electrician when I commented the (in)famous F2 problem in Liebherr fridge/freezers.
Hope it helps. Regards. Albert

Lg bottom freezer refrigerator

Some LG's are designed to show an error code when it detects a problem instead of a dianostic mode like in some other brands. Look for a tech sheet on the unit, may be behind the bottom grill under the fridge. This will tell you what the error code means. They will detect things like the evaporator motor not working etc. Hope this helps.
