When u plug the camera in does it give u the choice of disk drive or web cam? If it does pick disk drive and the camera will act as an external hard drive and u can transfer your photos and or video that way

I have a mac os 10.6.4. My daughter lost the finepix xp10 driver disc. How can I get the pictures on my computer. Can I download a driver off of the internet?

Try NOT using a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

I lost my download software to transfer the

The software CD would not help you unless you have a very old OS. Your best option is to invest ($10 - $15, sometimes less) in a CF card reader with a USB connector. If you have Windows XP or newer, or any version of Mac OS X, your computer will see the card reader (and your card) as a separate drive, and you will be able to download the pictures right off the card.

My mac computer doesnt start. its frized up i can only see the apple logo on the screen

Try using another Mac, Firewire your mac to it via Target Disc Mode where you'll be able to access your Hard Drive from the desktop window and hopefully repair it using Disc Utility, which is found in the Utilities folder in Applications.

From the link above , you could down load the driver for Apple mac. Once you download and install the driver on your computer. you restart it.

You can now connect your computer by the USB cord and download the picture.
I hope the above can help.
There is a good review of F50 on the link below, I am sure it will also help.

Downloading to my MAC computer

Apple made that very easy with the current operating system, OSX. All you need to do is have the camera off, plug the connector cable to the camera and to a USB port on your Mac. Once you turn the camera on, your Mac should load iPhoto and will give you the option to import from your camera.

Delete locked picture on computer.

You can un-check the locked option on the pictures by using the get info option on each image file. This is done through the Finder on a Mac. Alternately, if they are in the Trash: If an item in the Trash is locked, press the Option and Shift keys when you choose Empty Trash to delete it.
