If the wireless light is blinking and you are not wireless yourself somebody is using your connection, make sure you either turn off the wireless if you are hard wired or turn on atleast WEP security in the routers settings

I had a power outage due to too many appliances going. In switching circuit breaker back, my PC doesn't connect to internet via ethernet.

First thing to try is rebooting your modem. Do this by removing the power cord from the modem and wait a couple of minutes and plug it back in. The lights on the modem should start blinking right after plugging it back in and it will take a while before it has rebooted completely. If the modem lights do not blink after you plug the power cord back in, there is a very good possibility that your modem has been "burned out" because of the procedure you used of just resetting the circuit breaker.
It could also be that your router needs to be reset. Open up your browser and look on the bottom of the router for an IP address; it looks like 192.168.0.1 After locating this number, copy it into the address box of the browser and press enter. After doing so, just follow the directions on the screen.

My modem light on my router blinking

You mean the power light? Or a light to the port you are plugged in to? It is normal to have a blinking light where your ethernet wire is plugged in. It shows that it is working.

Is the router lights suppose to be blinking or glowing steady?

Hello,

On most routers when data is being accessed you will see the lights blink rapidly, especially if you are passing video over it. Data connections will blink intermittently but normally not as fast as video.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Thanks
