Try this chirp software, I'm pretty sure if supports both radios, you can read one radio, and write it back to the other, the software will make all the changes for you

Why is the display so faded I can barely see it?

If it's been that way from the start you should check your settings and adjust the contrast if that feature is available. Your manual or a Google search will provide instructions. If that's not it your batteries could be low as that will sometimes affect the display. Also, on the off chance you are, wearing polarized sun glasses will weaken or block some displays.

Do i need a plain green wire?

A gren wire usually means that you are connecting a GROUND wire of some sort. Usually it has a yellow stripe on it these days.

Any wire can be used for anything, the colour doesn'prevent it from working. However wire guage does. Make sure the wire that you do use is the appropriate size. Also, AC power wiring follows certain conventions: Green is ground, White is neutral, RED and Black are hots. DC wiring colour codes are RED is positive, BLACK is Negative.

Beyond that, anything goes, pretty much.

Yaesu ft 767 gx no responce

Go to this web page and join the FT-767 forum: It's full of information on this rig, and a large group of owners willing to help. These transceivers are getting old, and there are a number of common problems that are beginning to pop up. Your symptom description is pretty vague. I'd need more details to diagnose your particular problem, and not knowing how experienced you are with the rig, I'm not sure if you've checked the obvious, like making sure the switches (both front and rear panel) are set right. When you say "refuses to turn on", do you mean no lights, no display, etc, or do you mean just no audio out of the speaker? It almost sounds like you have it in transmit mode, perhaps the front panel MOX switch is pushed in. Vcc is the final amplifier voltage. Make sure the 3 small pushbuttons on the rear left panel are all in the OUT position. There's a white one as well, it's the memory battery disconnect. It should be in. Switching it will reset the CPU to factory default. Check out the Yahoo group. There's a files section with tons of troubleshooting info.

Kenwood tm-732a will not power up. In line fuse looks good, 12v getting to the board. What can I do next?

press around board where power comes in to see if solder connections are weak. where the red and black wires come in, it's 12 volt power to the board its usually a reverse polarity diode, its black with a silver stripe around it, its job is to make sure it wasn't hooked up wrong, you could unsolder it MAKE SURE EVERTHING IS HOOKED UP CORRECTLY, turn it on for a test, if it works find a replacement diode.

Alinco dj-v5 HT deviation adjust

To adjust the deviation of this radio, you don't have to take it apart. If you take the battery pack off, there is a sticker on the back of the radio saying Alinco. Pull that sticker off and underneath are the variable resistors. See the service manual for more details on how to make other adjustments.

First, make sure you note the present position of this pot so you can turn it back if you have to.

If you don't have any equipment to measure deviation, make a contact on the repeater and try turning the pot in small increments and ask the person to help you set the deviation so your voice sounds good through the repeater.

Once set, if the repeater has a touch tone test, go through and make sure all your tones are being properly decoded.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

No output

If you antenna SWR are way out ( too high ) you may have burrned the final or driver up when you hooked it up to do the antenna adjustment. Also be sure to turn the high power switch on to adjust the antenna SWR or the SWR meter won't read correctly, if the RF power is too low. Good Luck
