Sounds like air is not flowing properly thru the a/c. if there is a filter you can pull out remove it and clean it.

Ice on coils of heat pump not cooling

Which coil?, indoor or out? Indoor coils freeze due to clogged filters, low freon, blower motor not working. Outdoor coil freezing could mean, in rare cases in cooling mode, reversing valve not shifting.

Ac unit is not cooling, the part on the inside keeps freezing up after it is frozen the air blowing is not cool. Sometimes there is a knocking sound from the compressor.

Freezing of the evaporator is caused by low air flow (fan problem or dirty filter),low refrigerant charge or leak. I would suspect a leak (noisy compressor) because the compressor lubricants are in the refrigerant.

Freezing and no cooling is a common sign of low refrigerant. You will need a technician to repair and recharge it.

My lg lb1200er is freezing up how do i fix it

Take the front off and replace or clean the filter. Get a soft brush and remove the lint from the coils. If it is severely dirty you can buy some cooling coil cleaner

Freezing up

The number 1 reason for freezing is not enough air flow across the evaporator (inside) coil. Check filter, and try vacuuming the coils. Use care to not mash or bend the fins. If this does not work, then perhaps a wash with a soap solution and water hose will do the trick for you.

Mine has done this alot, mostly because I live in a state with ALOT of wind, and in an area with ALOT of dirt. Sounds like your coils are dirty. Try cleaning it out, or having it cleaned out. If you spray it with water just make sure your compressor is facing up and you don't use too much pressure. Hope this helps
