Camera says card locked

-   The user stated plainly that the problem was NOT the slide lock on the card, yet the "solution" was to move the slide lock. NO this is NOT helpful.

I have the same problem and no matter where the slide lock is positioned, the camera says "card locked" also I cannot access the card AT ALL using any computer and a card reader. It won't even load in as a drive on the system. The system just slows down and the reader lights up continuously, and it never appears as a drive on the os browser. I tried moving the slide lock. I tried putting a piece of tape over the slide lock. That is not the problem. I can't get into the card with anything. The card was not removed from the camera until this problem surfaced. So it was not caused by any external trauma to the card. The card was in the camera when the problem surfaced.

-   My camera is doing this too. I have also bought a new card. My camera takes an SD card and I am using MicroSD with an adapter. I have also had problems with the door latch mechanism. Possible the camera cannot write to the card? -   Guest

-   Mine doing the same thing- It is NOT the slide lock on the SD card, it is in unlocked position. New card purchased- same problem. -   Guest
