You have to check physically that fan is circulating the air properly all the part of the fridge. just check by placing your hand against the vent.

if yes the circulation is not proper then fan need replacement.

My GE 19.7 TFX20JR only partially freezes in certain areas and not cold on refrigerator side. This all happened at the same time it stopped making ice. Water still dispenses.

Check for frozen, iced over evaporator coil caused by defective defrost timer and/or heating element. Ice maker will not work unless freezer temp is around 10 degrees or less.

Hi. I have a GE GSS22WGMC side by side and for a

you might have 2 problems. First I think you have either a defrost problem or a evaperator fan problem.

Look at the lower back wall of the freezer and if you see frost build up then you have a defrost problem.

also open the freezer door and press the door switch button that makes the light go off and listen for the fan. if you don't here the fan its a good chance that it could be bad.

I would wait on the ice maker issue until the cooling issue is resolved because it could be causing the ice maker problem.

If you dont here the fan then ckeck it in 60 min again and if you still dont here the fan it is mostlikley bad.

If you do have the frost then one of the following compontents could be bad: Defrost heater, Defrost limiter or the Defost Timer.

Icemaker leaking

Check two things.

1: see if you have ice buildup in the water inlet tube above ice maker, if you do chance are the water valve is bad, if not,

2: see if you have icicles hanging from bottom of ice maker, if you do you have a bad ice maker.

Either way, will need full model number and serial number both to get you the right part numbers for parts.

Make ice somtime but leaks or act like its defrosing

Hi: The ice maker is thermally protectec. In other words the freezer has to be at Zero degrees. Not just frozen, but zero. Your ice cream should be rock hard. Before you call a service tech try setting your freezer colder. Wait 24 hours before a change. It's human nature to check on the icemaker from time to time, But don't keep opening the freezer to see if it's working. You'll just dump the cold air out and make matters work. I hope this helps.
