Open the properties screen that you would normally use to change the desktop and click on the last tab on the top and you can change the resolution from there. If that dosen't work tell em and I will go into more advanced troubleshooting techniques.

I have pentium 4,model is old 6 years, and I have LG Flarton w 2230s monitor, and I cant see a full image on my display, borders are shorter for 4cm in both side, maybe my graphic card is old?

I think that you have the wrong resolution set on the computer.

1/ Right click on the background part of your screen, click on settings, look at the screen resolution, adjust the screen resolution for wider setting.

2/ Try downloading the latest drivers for you graphics card and installing them.

3/ If you have a cd with drivers for the monitor install them and that will be fixed.

Or you may need a later model graphics card.

Recently reinstalled windows on my computer and I can not adjust the resolution for my monitor. Its only giving me 640X480 screen resolution. Did I not install somethimg correctly?

i am guessing that you installed windows 7. you didnt say. it sounds like the proper driver is missing for your monitor. you will have to first try to do all the updates from microsoft. after that then go to the manufacturer of the computer and look for video drivers that are compatible with windows 7. if nothing there then go to the site for the maker of your monitor and look for the drivers there.
not knowing the brand of computer or which windows product you installed, makes it hard to give you more info. but i think this will get you started. let us know how this goes.

When I set the screen resolution other than 800X600 this error on screen comes up "Out of Range!" How to fix this?

Hello Ajay,
This problem is due to the graphics. There can be two reasons one is that you output device is not supporting more than 800*600 resolution, that is why its giving this error.
The graphics is not installed in the computer you can check the graphics whether installed or not out here.
Click on Start->Run->"devmgmt.msc" without quotes.
and check over there whether you can find a yellow triangle over display drivers or not. And install the graphics for the same and then you can set the screen resolution more than 800*600.

I have installed Jewel Quest 11 on my Windows XP program and the screen goes black with a small square with the following information. (out of frequency, 53.5 KH2 84.9 H2

Your PC is not supporting the current resolution with the game, you need to upgrade the graphics driver or reinstall it. If still dont work change the resolution settings in the game, else change the graphics card.

Just force and install the driver, It should be working good. I too had similar problem. I just forced and installed the driver even though it said that its not compatible.

Screen resolution won't change.

Make sure you are logging on to a user account with administrative privileges.
Go to control panel>display>settings>advanced and set the DPI to normal. Then look at the tabs and see if there is a Graphics controller listed there. Select that and Graphic properties and see if the screen resolution is being set by the display adapter. There may be an option to change the setting there.
Otherwise, make sure the resolution you are attempting to set is supported by the monitor you're using, by checking the monitor's default settings from their website.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!
