I can take like 20 pics it shows up on the camera in memory, but when I go to download pics I may end up with 2. Another thing is that a lot of the still shots come out blurred. I take a lot of still shots like of a tree and the sky may be clear but the tree looks like it's trying run out of the shot (blurry). Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you!
See if there is a little key on the shots that wont download. if there is the they have been protected and may be unlocked for transfer in you camera menu. as for you focus problem make sure you are pressing the shutter down halfway to lock the focus on your subject otherwise it will focus on any part of the picture.

Blinking light means your computer still in process reading your data from memory card. Higher capacity of memory card would make the computer need longer time to read it. Just be patient and don't unplug the USB cable. If you think its too long, then you can unplug the cable data, put off the memory card and open in via card reader so you can download your pictures to PC.
You didn't tell me what camera make or model but as a rule you can not download pictures from the internal memory. What needs to be done is check make sure the memory card I'm going to assume is an SD card is in the unlock position. I'll give you a generic diagram so you can see what it is I'm talking about. Then the memory card needs to be formatted not delete, it needs to be formatted to the camera so the camera and the card can communicate between each other. Once that is down then you should be able to go into the set up menu and transfer the internal memory pictures to the memory card. Some cameras this has to be done one at a time others will have an "all" feature make sure your camera has sufficient battery because this could take a few minutes (2 or 3) depending on how large the internal memory is and how many pictures. If the process is interrupted because of battery failure then well, that's not good because you could loose all the pictures and the camera programing may become corrupt. Just make sure the batteries are full charge and you are good to go. Some cameras have an optional AC adapter to plug into wall power Okay back to the download once the pictures are on the memory card they can be downloaded to the computer in your usual manner. Okay once that is done reformat the memory card and you are good to go with a fresh memory card. The camera will automatically use the memory card when installed and formatted to the camera. Diagram
Try downloading from the memory card. You will have to purchase a card reader, usually less than $20. It will save the batteries, too, since the reader is powered by the computer.
Make sure the batteries have a good charge. The camera powers the download not the pc.
I'm assuming you went through the setup procedures (setting date, time, etc). If you tried to shoot any pics with no card in the camera, you now have pics on the internal memory. You need to get rid of those by going into the menu and finding "format". Then, insert your new card (making sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position) and do the "format" thing again to optimize the new card for the camera.
I've have xD cards that I thought I deleted the photos, but they showed up on the Xd card when i put it in the card reader to download another set of pics. I think it happened because I used the card in 2 different cameras (thus, the cam each saved pics in their own different formats).
this is not at all a big deal.it's very simple. solution 1: connect the cam to your computer and open the folder. leave it for 2 mins and then view the pictures. solution:after opening the folder, copy all the pics without viewing.Copy to some location in your computer and you can view the pics there.
this happens because of the size of the memory card of your cam.if the size is large and pics are completely filled, it takes some time to sync.nothing to worry.
