test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause you problems computer needs all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd drives need to have current go through make sure these devices are working

might be getting hot

check the CPU make sure it has thermal paste and dust free secure seating

(you might not have enough ram to run this type of game it might be running over its limits putting to much strain on the cpu)

also check your computers ram modules and cmos battery make sure they are dust free and securely seated some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

How to stop the vibration in my laptop while playing games

There are 3 possible cluprets for vibration in laptops
the fan the cd drive the hard drive
If your issue is coming from the fan assuming it's not damaged often there will be settings to adjust the fan speed as you lower this it will reduce the vibrations.
The cd drive would be your hardest to fix issue if you are using the cd to play the games. better drives do have less movement and possibly a usb connected drive tho bulky could be a solution for you.
A hard drive that vibrates enough to bother is very likely to go bad soon. If this is where the issue is replace as soon as possible. there are now solid state drives that have no vibration.

How do I down load to an external drive and not the main computer

First Solution:-

1. If you have copied a particular game's folder to the external drive, go to Start menu > Programs.
2. Right click on the file name of the game.
3. Click on "Properties"
4. Go to "shortcut" page and change the "Target" path directing the EXE file to the folder in the external drive where you have copy-pasted the your game.
5. Click on "Apply" and "OK".
6. Now, try to start the game, and you should be able to play.

An alternate solution is given below.

In both the cases (internet game / purchased games):-
1. First plug in the external hard drive to your computer.
2. You will have to run the installation file of the game (both purchased and internet download) and select the folder path directing it to the external hard drive.
3. For some games, you may have to uninstall the existing game first to re-install and select the desire folder path (external drive).
4. Games will be installed in external drive and also available in start menu > programs > "your game".

Happy gaming! :)

How do I down load to an external drive and not the main computer

1. First, you need to select the external drive while saving any game.
2. Try to play it from External drive first, if game does not play from external drive then try to play it from the Internal drive.
3. It does not make any difference whether you are playing game from external or interna drive because both the drives will use the computer resources and softwares to play the games.

Good Luck.

Well, i was playing World of Warcraft today, and randomly everything started lagging pretty hard, so i restarted my cpu, and now i can't even been on for 5 minutes without the computer freezing up...

if you keep reset on to your CPU this will affect to your Hard Drive. When your online games WOW very lag then do not let that online game on play to your Computer. You know or maybe your Computer are not enough to run this game. Check all the plug in play device which are capable to run this game. Your VGA Compatibility e.i AGP or PCI-E, Memory speed e.i DD1, DD2 & DDR3 and mostly Games Accelerator Programs.
Hope this tip might help you.
Good luck!

I have games downloaded on my pc that I got from free game sites. They are legal games that are free because they are sponsored. I would like to take them off of my hard drive and put them on cds to free...

Only if they are designed to be run from CD. Most games are "installed" onto your hard drive and put files all over the drive, not just in their game folder. So copying them from their game folder to a CD may lose support files needed to play. Easiest way to try this out...copy the files to the CD, then delete the files from the hard drive. Then try to play the game. If it won't play, copy the files back to where they were on the hard drive.

I have just purchased a 160 gp plug and play and was told i can transfer my games etc onto it and have no idea how

In order to transfer your games to your hard drive, you first need a cloning program that will take all of the game components from your main hard drive and copy them exactly to your slave hard drive. I suggest looking up Norton's Ghost Utility for such applications.

Crappy computer

the solution on the cd disc is to remove the cd out then uninstall the all games installed in this cd drive replace cd drive when it comes to uninstalling sim delux is goto where saved games in sim deluxe and save folder to a different location then uninstall then re-install with new cd drive and hunt net for nc patches for games that work if this still doesn't work time for re-install windows from scratch if you have a spare hard drive use it to copy all game saves to it then redo windows and all drivers then all games then place saves back into place where they came from. good luck.
