Thanks i went to the shop that i bought the car seat and they said the same about getting the full set for 45 pound thought it was a bit expensive as i only needed the seat belt pads so i got other ones that the shop had in a black as there was black in the head support and they go fine no diffrence to them than the maxi cosi apart from the brand name.

I have had real trouble finding replacement pads, most places only sell the entire package of a new cover and pads for around £45!

However, try http://dorel.co.uk/, they originally said they were unavailable but a really helpful guy called Noel said it's an unofficial spare part and ordered them for me.

Maxi cosi car seat opal

Hi Laura,

To change the beltpads on the Maxi-Cosi Opal harness the carseat would need to come in for our engineers to remove the shoulder harness section and replace.

Hello i am trying to take the car seat cover off i can not remove the belt strapss need helpp

Good Afternoon

The fabric can be removed by following the instructions in the user manual - if you've lost the user manual you can download a replacement at www.maxi-cosi.com

By the belt straps I think you mean the harness pads? Undo the harness and they will slide down the length of the harness and you will then need to push the plastic clip section through the harness pads.

Have purchased Maxi Cosi baby restraint with Easy Base - Iso fix,

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix and EasyFix can only be used with IsoFix or the seat belt on (preferrably) the back seat. Please don't alter the mounting system of the seat as it will give unpredicable results!

The Commodore name has been around since 1978 so it is possible when you own an older Commodore you won't have any means to fix the Maxi Cosi seat.

If you do have IsoFix and/or seat belts in the back seat then please elaborate on the exact nature of the problem.

With kind regards,

Maxi cosi belt protectors

The supplier to John Lewis, Dorel, will ship the maxi cosi loose belt protectors out to you at a cost of £10.

Contact Dorel at:
http://www.dorel.co.uk/contact-us/

Alternatively, call your local John lewis branch and they will be more than happy to contact their suppliers for you.

I called mothercare, and they were not too helpful - the fobbed me off and said call halfords or John Lewis.
