Sounds like the color wheel. Check samsungparts.com for a replacement. Check the video on youtube of a guy fixing his color wheel to see if its something you want to tackle. I changed mine... a drag, but not too awful. Ran about $100.

It is the DMD board especially if the lamp stays lit. If the lamp is not lit... Be sure you have the lamp in properly...that is plugged in good and the door has the door switch engaged. Be sure door switch is still good and did not get damaged when replacing the lamp. Samsung HLP4663WX/XAA picture went out, started making strange noise, all lights on power button came on.

Sounds likea bad color wheel to me, or possibly a lamp has blown. If the noise is a humming sound--it is the CW--if you hear a "sound like a sizzle, for a few seconds and then normal, and this repeats a few times--the lamp has blown.

I don't have the manual handy at the moment. but if you look in the owner's manual you should see that this is the code for either a lamp or fan problem. I will look it up myself later, but check the manual. This could be as simple as replacing the lamp.
