SOURCE: How do you change the batteries on a Coleman

All The info I can find nothing tells us how to change the batteries. Is this a rechargable light, if so the batteries are not available for replacement. If not then the top has to screw off, or the bottom plate must screw off, there isn't any other way. What I have read is that these on this light are very hard to remove, at least that is what folks are complaining about. this light has also been discontinued and no longer availabe. if your afraid of breaking the light then I would contact Coleman for their advice since there seems to be none to be found on any bulletins they have put out.

I got it off. All you need is pliers. You take pliers and twist the bottom of torch with them. It'll come off in a minute or two, just keep twisting!

I have a coleman companion flashlight/lantern and need to disassemble it for battery replacement. i can`t fiqure out how.

Really? Put the flashlight down and slowly step away from it and if that doesn't work threaten it with a hammer?
Seriously did you read the package directions? The pointy end with the gray ring is the end most likely screws off to put the AA batteries in.

How do you open a Coleman flashlight

You need to specify the model of the flashlight. However, for most of them you simply unscrew the bulb head or the battery end cap, empty the old batteries and insert the new ones with the positive end of the batteries always pointing toward the bulb end and the negative end of the batteries toward the spring in the end cap.. Be sure to discard the batteries properly. Contact your local trash disposal company to determine where and how to dispose of them.

I have the same flashlight. I had to use a vise grip and it took two of us but the bottom unscrews. Mine was due to corroded batteries inside.

How to turn on Model No. 3000001019 Coleman headlamp. I got the batteries in but it does not go on. How do I turn it on?

Make SURE you have the batteries in the right way. If you have a battery turned around it won't work, plus you will likely bend the spring inside and then be unable to get the battery in the right way.

I just bought the coleman Max mult-colored headlamp and i cant figure out how to put the three AAA batteries in

In the headstrap is a plastic 'key' that you use to remove the battery cover (opposite side of the headlamp from the switch). Once you remove the cover, you can shake the headlamp to let the battery cartridge slide out of the headlamp.
Pay close attention to which way the batteries go in--if you put a battery in the wrong way you can easily bend the springs inside!
