Question about IBM Lotus Organizer 97 GS for Macintosh (394614SF)

1 Answer

Unable to unzip downloaded programme

On 26 Aug 08 I downloaded a copy of Lotus Organizer 97 GS for Macintosh via Vnunet.

The programme was downloaded via my PC to a flashdrive which I subsequently loaded into my Mac Pro laptop which is running the latest Mac system X.

When I try to unzip the downloaded Lotus Organizer programme on the laptop I get the following message "unable to expand organizergs.hqx. Suffix archives not supported".
I would be grateful for any advice on how to get the programme running on my Mac.

As an aside, I run Lotus Organizer V5 on my PC, if/when I get the Mac version running will I be able to trnsfer the PC files to my Mac?

Best regards

Hmmm!  Did you ever solve this?

I've run Lotus Organizer for years on my PC (WIn98se) and recently migrated it to a MacBook, using a Parallels virtual machine running Windows XP.  Works fine.

I was thinking of buying the Lotus Org for Mac to save booting my diary through the virtual machine (takes more time) but having 2nd thoughts if the software will not unload.

Here's a link to try for an .hqx expander, but the programs may not run on your mac.

I would purchase this software which I use everyday and it will allow you to import your entire PC into a virtual image that you can run all the existing software and Vista just as you did before.

How to create and edit a notes in ms outlook 2003?

Hello,
The fastest way to create a Note, regardless of where you are in Outlook, is by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+N. To access the notes folder (create/delete) look on the bottom left corner of a default outlook windows. you will see an icon like a yellow paper sheet with lift corner, click there.
Hope this helped.
