Oven goes on but stayes at 100 f. does not go to temperature

Does the oven actually heat up with the temperature more than 100 or does it just stay at 100? Alternatively, when you open the oven can you see the orange glow of the flame through the vents in the bottom of the oven and hear the gas hissing?

have the repair man replace the ignitor, or DIY....

your temp sensor or oven control board is bad. Temp sensor should have around 1080 Ohm resistance in room temperature.

need to check oven sensor probe located inside of oven will be in left or right hand corner. the tech sheet should still be on the back panel of oven it will have instructions how too...

Your oven temperature sensor must be replaced. It is located in the oven compartment up high, may be right or left side depending on model. Smaller than a pencil about 3&1/2 inches long.

The temp control is not telling the ignition system to engage....have a service company look at it.

Sears Kenmore Electric Wall OVen, Mod.#9114012192 purchased in 1993. Set oven for 425 degrees, reaches set temperature, stays on about 10 minutes and temp. display goes out and oven starts cooling down. Will not stay on desired temp.to cook. Can you tell me what my problem is? Thanks. Doug.

two possible causes first, element is breaking down when hot. one way to check is to put a multi-meter across element and see if it stays powered up. second, stat is faulty. check if element power cycles with stat

Hi there you need to change the ffd on your oven FFd stands for flame faliure device. its like an temperature controlled switch. it is located in the oven and this device is what lets the gas go through once it has reached a certain temp. It must only be done by a corgi qualified engineer and to be honest your loooking at about 100 pounds.
