You have a defective monitor due to power error of its own, it can't maintain a 100% power to support all of its electronic parts inside of it. Buy a new one

E176FP 17" LCD Monitor: my computer will come on but the monitor won't...

Here is what you need to do to know if your monitor is defective. Plug the power cord of the monitor. Turn on the monitor. If the monitor display image for a second and then black out then the monitor is OK. If not you will need to replace it.
If the monitor is OK.. look for other possible problem. Next to it aside from checking the cable (connecting your video card to the monitor) the one to check is the video card.. the signal from the cpu will pass through the video card to your monitor. If no reaction to the monitor then its the video card.

The power button on my LG W1934S monitor just flashes continuously and does not show an image. I have tried several cables.

try this....

remove the vga cable at the back of your monitor or at the other one in your cpu..

get it?? the one that connect the cpu and the monitor..

then try to turn on your monitor if there is a message says like this " no signal output" or no video output"..

it means your monitor is ok and you have a problem in your cpu...

sometimes that is the problem....

LG W1934S monitor. It displays an image for about 3 sec and goes black. It does not turn off but loses image. Unplug monitor cable and plug in again and the problem repeats. I tried "jiggling" plug but...

first you ensure that it is a problem with TFT or CPU. you can check it with another monitor. if it is working with another monitor then your TFT has been faulty.then you can repaired it from service center.

Screen is black.

Please shine a flashlight on the monitor screen.
If you see a dim image on the screen the back light needs to be replaced.

If it still shows black try another data cable from the monitor to the computer

If that still did not work as the machine is turned on remove the data cable connector from the computer. Check the monitor screen to see if it says no signal. If it does not the LCD screen on the monitor needs to be replaced. If it does the computers graphics card needs to be replaced.

Monitor shows screen then goes black

It is the Monitor Cable connected to the CPU cabinet is faulty. Please check out the cable and its pin firmly.

Try to find the fault, may be the cable broken or tear up.

Let me know if further diagnose required.

Have a nice day.
