PPc turns on every few minutes, eats batteries

Hi, I've owned a 720 for about a year now and for the last 2 or 3 months it has began powering itself on every few minutes. I have checked every program that has 'wake up' control for alarams, etc and none seem to causing it. I'm using a 3com wireless LAN card, and the unit does this even when the card is not plugged in, so it's not a case of trying to refresh a DHCP lease either. I was told by HP to do a hard reset and re-install everything, but I have quite a few programs to re-install. Any iseas before I have to resort to this?

Do you have anything in your startup folder that is running that could cause your computer to turn on? Or can you remember installing any new software at the time you started having this problem? If you did install some new software try uninstalling it and see if the problem goes away. Good luck.

Our Super Gaucho 24volts is 2-years-old and barely used. Now the battery is not lasting to long. Is this normal? I mean, with a more frequent charging/use will its performance be improved? Thx ahead &...

Unfortunately the batteries just lose their holding power after awhile, and if you don't keep them charged every few months (like during winter if your child isn't riding, you still need to charge / refresh the battery every 2 months or so, if it isn't charged for a few months, it'll lose some of it's holding power), that's a very common problem. Our 24V Perego batteries for our Gaucho only seem to last like 30 minutes of constant riding (my son rides non stop sometimes for 30+ minutes). If you check out the site modifiedpowerwheels.com , people convert them to use non Perego batteries that run for much longer!

Logitech cordless desktop MX5000 laser(bluetooth) keyboard

Yes, unfortunately, although it's normally the mouse that eats batteries (and not cheese, contrary to belief), the only thing to do to give you a little longer is to use re-chargeable batteries. I am convinced batteries nowadays are a poorer quality than a few years ago, no matter who's brand you use.
