I have the manual and i can get you a digital copy so you can reference from that, email me at krash@krashstuff.co.uk , in my opinion the NF-m2SV is a really weak motherboard though, i have had no end of problems when i added an ati radeon HD3850 to it, constant vpu recovery/vpu resets, the power supply is a corsair 650TX so its more than ample, reinstalled windows to bare bone installations and tried games that way, in both vista AND xp pro, so be careful, this single chip motherboard isnt even good enough to add another graphics card into :)

You need the manual.
If you do not have it, then search the net for a free download.

Every mother board can be different in the way the wires connect to the leds lights.
take care,

The led on the front won't light, and I have power connected, but nothing. Is there a reset somewere?

I am assuming you are trying to power up an installed motherboard, based on the category selection. You say that you have power connected. That means that you have connected the 20 (24) pin main connector and the 4 or 8 pin CPU power connector to the motherboard. Have you connected the front panels controls to the motherboard header? There are connections for the power switch, power LED, HDD LED, reset switch (optional). They must be connected in order for the motherboard to start. THe HDD and Power LED connections are polarity-based, so if you hook them upo backwards, their respective LED will not light. The HDD LED plug is usually red and white with the red being on the positive (+) terminal. The Power LED plug is usually green and white with the green wire going to the positive terminal. The power switch and reset switch wires can be connected either way as they are not polarized.

How to wire front panal

You will need to open the computer case and check that the cables that run from the actual power button to the motherboard are plugged into the proper spot on the motherboard. Sometimes reseating the cable can fix this issue.

I think this is the link to your motherboard documentation: http://www.via.com.tw/download/mainboards/3/4/p4mapro533_r100.pdf

Check the page 2-14 or 2-15 and see if that helps you to identify the actual connection for your power switch.

I have a new pc case on the front panel connectors their is one hdd led +- and one hdd led plug were do they go my case is a EVO LABS E-6690 BLACK/RED, 12CM LED FAN, INC DOOR AND SIDE WINDOW my mother...

You need to look in the handbook that cam with your motherboard for a section labeled 'Connectors' or possibly 'Connections'. There will be one USB 2.0 type prong on the motherboard that is designated for case connections [Power LED, mini-speaker, etc.]. The manual for the motherboard will indicate what order and where on the motherboard your connectors should go.
Good luck with your build. :]

I am having a problem connecting my power supply to my motherboard i can plug in everything except the one connectors that require a connection to a part called PWR-LED

Take a look at the picture below:
6b13a3a.jpg

If I am right, the Front Panel connector should look similar as shown above (it's an assumption since you didn't mention the Motherboard's name and version). Look at the front panel connector on the motherboard carefully, you'll see similar name/indicator as you are seeing on the above picture like Pled, Hdled etc... I hope the front panel connector has 9 pins, and remember, one should be left without any connection.

Simply you have to connect the two female Pwr-Led to the Pled+ and Pled-, and Power to Pwr and Gnd, the same sequence with hard disk led and Reset switch as Hdled+ and Hdled- and Gnd and Reset respectively.
If the front panel connectors on your motherboard has less than 9 pins, then I am sorry, I have no idea about it and I am afraid if it exists or not.

If you still have the problem, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I had to change the motherboard as it failed

Look at the front panel of the computer you will see the connections you have. Should be power, reset, power led, usb etc. These are connected to your current motherboard and most times all the connections will be labeled in the case, on the wire connector ends. IE the end that connects to the motherboard. The only exception to this is the usb ports, and they can be hooked up to new usb connectors on the motherboard. Also note, read i said READ the proper way to connect the usb to the motherboard, this is usually a one shot deal, get it wrong and you kill that usb connector.

I have 3 wires on my pc and i dont know where to connect them on my motherbaord - the wires have writen on them "HDD LED" "PWR LED" "PWR S/W" can any1 help me?

Hi Dan,
The wires are from the front panel. HDD LED which causes an led (usually red) light to turn on when the Hard Drive is active. The PWR LED turns on an LED light (usually green) when you turn on your computer. The PWR S/W turns on your computer when you press the on button of your computer. The front panel connector riser is usually located on the bottom right of your computer. They fit on little pins. Unfortunately there is no standard, so connections vary. Sometimes the pins are labeled on the motherboard. . Check your manual. For more info do a google search for "Motherboard front panel connectors". Hank

FITTING MOTHERBOARD

If you have not removed the old motherboard from the case, then you can identify the various front panel connectors as you disconnect them and label them. Some front panel connectors have labels printed on the connectors which makes it easy for you to identify its purpose. If you have already removed the old motherboard then you will need to trace each of the leads to the front panel to see what they are connected to (eg. the LEDs and switches etc).
You will also need to identify on the new motherboard the various connectors for each function, eg power LED, hard drive LED, reset switch, power on switch, internal speaker etc. If you are lucky It may be printed on the motherboard, if not you will need to refer to the manual.
NOTE the LEDs are polarity sensitive, if the LED does not light, then swap the connector around the other way.

Tyan le s2510 reconnection to case panel

If you go to Tyan ftp site ftp://ftp.tyan.com/manuals you should have no problem finding the .pdf version of your manual with all jumper and connection settings. I would do so quickly, as the company is making changes to the website. Also, if you look very closely the front panel connections are usually printed on the board but can be difficult to read.
