Re: memory

There is the extended battery pack adds an MMC slot and leaves the CF slot open... So you could use the CF for the Wireless LAN and the MMC for extra memory...

Musaji Ahmed Hariff,
Your device has two slots located on the top of the unit. The larger slot supports CompactFlash Type II cards. The smaller slot supports Secure Digital (SD) memory cards, Secure Digital I/O (SDIO) cards, and the MultiMediaCard (MMC). All three memory card types are available in sizes from 64 MB to 1 GB or 2 GB. CompactFlash Cards Your device supports CompactFlash Type II cards. Some common types of cards include: • Modem - Connect a telephone line for modem data communication. • Wireless communication - Data communication without the use of cable connections. You can use cards, such as internal cards with Bluetooth wireless technology and 802.11b wireless LAN. • Storage - Save data or install programs on a storage card

I can not figure out how to connect my device to the internet Wi-Fi, I want to go on internet explorer and it won't connect

To send and receive e-mail with Inbox and view Web sites with Pocket Internet Explorer, set up a remote connection using a modem card or an Ethernet/LAN card.
To connect to the Internet with a modem card, you need a phone line, a dial-up Internet Service Provider, and an optional Single-slot or Dual-slot PC Card Expansion Pack or CompactFlash (CF) Card Expansion Pack.
*Insert your modem card
*From the Start menu, tap Settings
*Tap the Connections tab->Connections Icon-->Internet Settings-->Modify-->New
*Enter a name for the connection, select the modem type, and select the correct baud rate for that modem.

I have shared the basic steps..which I refereed using the reference guide for the model that you have specified from this website. This you can easily get my typing "reference guide for Compaq iPAQ H3850 Pocket PC" in Google...and the first link lets you download the PDF..Follow the steps carefully and connect to the internet. To check for the internet speed you can use Scanmyspeed.com which gives you accurate speed results.

Sdio Wireless Lan Card Wlan 802.11b

The blank plastic is NOT to be used while other cards. I am assuming you are talking about the SD card slot on the side (black plastic filler) There should be no movement of the SD card when in place.
If you are talking about the CF card slot on the top of the Axim, again the blank plastic is a dust cover when no card is in place and is not used with cards inserted. There is a bit of open area on one side of the card. Carefull with the pins at the bottom and be sure to insert correctly. Again there should be no movement of the card once inserted fully.
Don't know what you are quoting from the manual. I still have mine and the only thing I see similar to your quote is to "align the tab on the back of the CF card with the notch in the CF slot.." This is to make sure you have the front and back correct and for removal of the card (by grasping the ridge/tab)

SD wifi

I would rather go for CF wifi card, because Panasonic doesn't states that this one has SDIO type slot. If you use CF slot you will have to find WIFI card cover - it's different one - it will allow to close top cover with the card inside.

There was also two models:

  • CF-P1P1CDZ6J - Bluetooth / wireless LAN built-in
  • CF-P1P1CZZ6J - Built-in wireless LAN-model

Memory/Storage

Additional storage can be added to the MobilePro 900 by adding memory cards to either the CF Card slot or the PCMCIA (PC Card) slot. There are several types of memory cards available, including Flash Memory and miniature hard drives, in both the CF and PCMCIA form factor.

Jornada 820 and Wireless

It is possible, but you need a notebook PC Cards (PCMCIA) that supports Windows CE 2.11. Most Compact Flash wireless LAN cards need Windows CE 3.0.

CF for Jornada 525

The only advice that I could offer is to try those 2 Compact Flash cards on someone elses PocketPC. If they don't work then there must be something wrong with the cards. However, if they both work then there must be a problem with the CF slot on your Jornada. Try to test out some CF cards from an electronic store if they will let you. Yes, you do not need drivers for CF cards. A preferred CF list? Whomever told you this is blowing you off. People use all brands of CF cards from Viking, Scandisk, Lexar, Mr. Flash, etc. Sometimes there is a bad card and other times the CF slot is bad so check both of those out...

You need to have your music files in a "My Documents" folder on your CFC. If they are anywhere else, the media player will not see them.
