Question about HP Printers & Copiers

My 2175 series printer is telling me to check print cartridges. I do that and then it tells me to close the door. It then repeats the commands. Do I just need new ink - they seem fine.I'm unable to print or test.

my 2175 hp series printer will not print. Turn it on and it commands to check ink cartridges. I do that and it commands to close cartridge door. Could it be printer heads or something sensor related? If so, is it worth fixing or just get a new printer. This one is 5 yrs. old.

Printer says remove and check right cartridge even after new one has been installed.Recently it has a mind of its own and I cant even cancel print, I have to shut down.

Not sure about HP but perhaps the printer needs you to tell it a new cartridge has been installed - this is how the printer is able to tell you that an ink cartridge is about to run out. Good luck.

How do you replace the ink cartride in a hp 2175 all in one printer

1. Prepare the replacement cartridge by pressing down and back on the top of the protective plastic, then sliding the cartridge out.
2. Set both the cartridge and empty cartridge protector aside.
3. Turn on your printer and lift the access door until it locks into place. The print carriage will move to the center.
4. Once the print carriage has stopped moving, raise the latch to release the empty cartridge. 5. Remove the empty cartridge by pulling towards you. If you are replacing the tri-color cartridge and need to remove the black ink cartridge temporarily, use the empty cartridge protector to hold it. 6. Hold the replacement cartridge by the sides and remove the black plastic tape. 7. Insert the replacement cartridge into the appropriate slot (left for tri-color, right for black) until it snaps into place. 8. Pull the cartridge latch towards you and press down until it snaps into place. 9. Close the access door. -------

My 2175 All-In-One printer will not print a document from my computer. The LED readout says "1 Copy / 100%". The push-button "copy" icon is lit up. It will print a "Self-Test Report" OK. I have...

Check to make sure that when you give the print command that the HP 2175 is the printer the document is aimed for...not XPS or some other printer on your system.

good luck

Error 50 c

  1. Power off your printer.
  2. Use both hands to lift up the scanner unit until the scanner support holds it open.
  3. Turn the printer on. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy.
  4. Remove the color print cartridge.
  5. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  6. If the error message reappears, replace the black print cartridge with a new print cartridge.
If it does not repeat steps 1-3 and then go to step 7.
  7. Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black print cartridge.
  8. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  9. If the error message occurs again, replace the color cartridge.
  10. If an error message reappears, repeat steps 1-3 and reinstall both print cartridges.
Hope this helps.
  1. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  2. If you receive the error message again, replace both cartridges.

Cartridge Jam

The only thing you can do with this is make sure that there are no foreign objects that could be blocking the movement of the cartridge head. And when you insert the cartridge back, make sure you hear a clicking sound on both the cartridge and the cartridge cover when you insert it. Power down then power back up... make sure all covers are closed when you power back up. If it gives the same message, the printers sensors may be bad and it will require service or replacement. So, check with your manufacturer for warranty options.

Hi.
Align the print cartridges by going to the mentenance/align cartridges tab - in the printer menu, then print a diagnostic/configuration page from the reports tab.

U'll find there all the colours that the printer is using along with other ones.

Printer error

Sounds like a gear or the belt has stripped. Really not worth repairing unless it is under warranty. Call HP for an exchange.
