FD91 and memorystick

I just can't seem to find the answer, perhaps some kind soul here will know. Is the MSAC-FD2MA (memory stick/floppy disck) compatable with the FD91? I've read that is is compatable with some models, but I've not seen a complete list. thanks

I so much wanted to keep my FD91, but also wanted the F707. Since I couldn't afford both, could I use the floppy Memory Stick adapter and be happy enough to keep my FD91? Answer : NO It does not work. My floppy drive went out on me during a trip to Australia (last day fortunately) and I searched to have it replaced. When I talked to the repairman I wanted to know if it was possible to replace my 2x floppy drive with one of the 4x drives found in newer Mavicas, he said that could not be done either. I was really hoping that I could have the Memory Stick capability on the FD91, but there does not seem to be a way. So I sold my FD91 and picked up the F707. Still miss that zoom though :-(

Judging from the age of the FD 91 (late 1998), I would say NO. Phil doesn't mention any such capability in his Jan 1999 review.

Go to http://www.sony-asia.com/support/resources/en_AP/html/Compatibility/MemoryStick/handycam.htm and note the first two options: MSH-128S2 used directly, and the MSH-M128N used via MSAC-M2 adapter.

I can not locate where the memory stick is located on my Digital Mavica MVC-FD85. pleaase let me know

I'm sorry to inform you that the MVCFD85 Camera does not have a Memory Stick slot. The medium using in the Mavica FD camera is floppy disc.
The MSAC-FD2M floppy disk adapter can be used in some FD Mavica digital cameras.
With the help of the above mentioned Floppy disc adapter, you can insert a memory stick inside the adapter and insert it in to the floppy disk drive on the camera.

Why does my DSC-P31 Camera won't accept Sony memory MSAC-M2?? and what are the list of memory stick that compatible to DSC-P31?? thanks

It is an old camera. It was introduced in 2002. The spec's I looked up just say memory stick, and memory included "8MB Memory Stick". I looked the MSAC-M2 up on line and it looks a like it's a "Memory Stick Duo Adapter" not a memory stick. I'd try one that is sold as a "Memory Stick".

Reading the Sony MVC-FD91 disks on the computer

MVC-FD91 doesn't need any driver for PC . It use Floppy Disk. Please check your PC Floppy Drive, seems bad. I would recommend to replace it, its not costly item.

Sony Memory Stick Duo Adapter MSAC-M2

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and I have the Sony's MemoryStick Duo Adapter the MSAC M2.

I try many times putting it in the port and nothing happens. I click on the "My Computer"; to see if I can click on the "Memory Disk (E)" to open; but it says "Application Not Found".
What does that mean? When I try to eject the Memory Disk (E); it says, "An Error Has Occurred While Ejecting the Memory Disk (E)." Then when I try to "Safely Remove the Hardware"; it says, "Window can't stop your MemoryStick0 Device; because, it is in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again." I am confuse; what programs or windows that can be using the device?

Can anyone help me out?

You need the MSAC-FD2M Floppy Disk Adapter. It's probably going to be hard to find these days.

Installing memory stick into a Sony Mavica FD-83...

There is absolutely NO way to use a Memory Stick with the FD83 camera. The floppy adapter will never work with a FD83. The camera OS does not have the required driver.

Memory Stick On FD91

No, the camera does not have drivers for the memory stick in its firmware, only the announced FD95 has this feature.
