I have a RCA HD52w59 recently the convergence died and is no longer in the menu. I've read about the fl231 fuse and have taken what I think is the convergence board out but cannot find the fuse... Can anyone shed some light on this for me? (maybe a picture)

If your looking in the rear of the set on the far left side you will see a large black HV transformer that has a large red wire coming from its top. Thats the flyback transformer look directly to the right of that and you will see three small brown rectangles with FL221, FL231 and FL251 stamped on it. The center one is FL231 if thats blown the set will have a 3D look and the auto convergence feature will no longer be listed under the setup menu.
Go to menu then setup if you do not see convergence in the menu then you have a Blowed Fuse FL231 its on right side of FBT flyback transfomer will be 3 small brown looking caps But are fuses it will be the one in the Middle! Go to Partstore.com Look for FL231
When you say replaced the convergence twice, are you refering to the convergence boards or the FL231 fuse? If its the FL231 fuse unless you replaced the DL231 and CL230 plus reflowed the solder on the flyback it will continue to keep blowing untill the 3 parts are replaced together and the flyback gets resoldered. If you replaced the convergence boards then try resoldering the flyback.
If you replace just the fl231 it will blow again. You will need to replace the FL231,DL231 and CP230. You can get the parts at the following link with free instructions with pictures total cost is about 12.00 shipping is free. the parts are all listed under the RCA parts category. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
From the symptoms you describe. you have the fl231 fuse problem. Congrations this is a simple fix. please read my article "the fl231 fuse problem" in the tips and tricks section
ok first lets determine if the fuse is the poblem. do you have convergence option in the setup in customer menu. if you do then it will not be the fuse. if you have that option go into blue and red convergence. when you arrow over left or right up and down do the cross hairs move if they dont then it will be the power board(convergence)
yes, thats the replacement fuse for your set. However unless you have replaced the convergence power supply also chances are the fuse will blow again, as the power supply shorting is what causes the convergence to get out of alignment and it will then blow FL231 thereby removing the convergence option from the menu.
This problem is commonly refered to as a CONVERGENCE problem. Question 1 do you have convergence seting in setup menu...if you do NOT it could be a special small fuse. 2 if you go into setup then convergence. then can you move crosshairs in setup. Since you have a arcing picture this indicates convergence power supply problems....in which has to be replaced or repaired,
