Beeping my pc have 3 beeping sound and the cpu fan is moving but cannot start up

I have the same problem - 3 long beeps. I'm guessing it has to do with memory - I'm trying to use PC2100. I downloaded the manual (v5.0a) and set the CPU clock jumpers for 100mhz and 133mhz but neither worked. I've changed CPUs, I've changed memory sticks, I've changed video cards, I've changed power supplies. I've disconnected all the non-essentials. Nothing helps. Last time it worked, I was in the middle of formatting a hard drive. Please help !

Hi, Do this beeping code for motherboard troubleshooting. First disconnect all memory, external video card, etc only motherboard and power supply. Then power on if you hear continuous beeping means the motherboard working good. Please do this beeping code troubleshooting.

Loud beeping sound on start up , now will not start up , power ok

First remove the Ram and boot the system without it. If you hear continuous two beeps, then the problem is with the Ram, you need to replace it. If nothing happens, then your cpu or your motherboard is gone. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

When I turn on pc it beeps three times but did not start what does taht means?

It depends on which bios you have.
Generally beeping when powering up indicates one of two things.

1. faulty memory
or
2. faulty graphics adapter.

I would try another bit of memory first.

The beeping might also also indicate that the CPU fan has stopped.

Best of luck

I believe it to be a CPU problem. Ram problems are usually 3-4 quick beeps. Cpu is usually over and over beeping.

Buzzer sound from intel d101ggc motherboard

Check the fans in your pc, it sounds like at least one of them isent working properly and your pc gets overheated. When a pc going to warm it gets really slow and hangs.
My guess is that the CPU-fan dosent work properly and your CPU gets overheated, but check all the fans to be sure. The CPU fan runs cantantly, check so it dosent stop now and then.

Good luck

No beep,No Display on my monitor, only CPU heatsink fan is moving

have you thought about changing the battery on the motherboard, also checking that the fan on the cpu is seated properly with enough heatsink paste as both these issues will stop the pc from booting

Motherboard problem

If your cpu fan is faster,it may be due to a higher frequency setting.
The frequency that it runs best at is 60 hz, but it can be running at 70 hz or higher.

Monitor black out

I think your cpu is not working, only the fan is working because of the supply of the power in the motherboard. Can you hear some noise or beeping when you open the computer. If you hear the beeping sound maybe the problem is the video card or the memory. Try to remove the video card and insert again to the slot. Remove also the memory and clean the memory slot maybe there is dust block the connection of the memory to the motherboard.
