I have 27 JVC TV, D Series, Im sorry but i cant check the model number because its to have for me to carry and look the back part of the TV.
My problem is, my remote control just broke up year ago, and im just using universal remote control with few keypad, now i pressed something before which my tv turns on the timer. I cant watch in the morning because its turning off and the Timer on is flushing. I can just watch tv at night. I tried using the menu on the tv set and fixing the timer but still thesame. There s a time that when i set the time in the menu, what is happening is the timer will be on in the night so I cant watch tv and in the morning is the time that can i watch. I tried many times but still i cant fix it. What I want is, anytime i watch it will not turning off. Please help me to fix this, im just leaving by my self so no one can help me to solve it.

welcome to Fixya, it sounds like you may have a weak CRT (picture tube)
If the TV is over 6 years old that may be the case.
There are RED, Blue and Green color balance adjustments that you can try .
referencing the exact model one could see how it adjusts.
hope this helps
You didn't mention the brand of your universal remote control. Anyway, here are the universal code for JVC Tv.
JVC Codes: 013/ 054/ 055/ 060/ 065/ 067/ 089
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
Go to searspartsdirect.com. If this is the lint screen that inserts in the top panel of a gas dryer, the part number is 8557882. It is priced around $34.
If this is not the part you need, please post back with a more accurate model number. The number you have listed did not cross to any model number I could find. The closest model number I found was 110.72802101. These parts can, however, cross to other models within the same manufactured series.
Appliancepartspros.com carries the same part for $25.
Pcappliancerepair.com carries it for about $27.
Repairclinic.com carries it for about $32.
You can try any other websource you like, but these were the best prices I could find for you.
i have the same exact problem what i figured out is that i cant watch cable on it but when i hook a vcr to it i can watch movies. but when i hook my dvd player to it the block comes back on. so i hooked my playstation 2 to my vcr and hooked my vcr to the tv and i can watch dvd's that way. thats all i have sorry..
You have to have the original remote. Then go into the menu under channel set-up. punch in channel 3 press add. The punch in channl 52. then press delete. Or turn on the cable box and go to auto tunnin g and let it do its thing. Im sorry , but if you dont have the original remote with a menu button your going to have to live with your problem. Good Luck
Im sorry your having this trouble But I cant tell you whats wrong as I havent looked at the set. The problem could be a simple power supply problem or a cold solder connections in the horizontal sweep circuit. If your not a tech this is not a job for an experimenter or tinker . There is hi voltage in these sets even when they are unplugged so you are gonna need to call a pro in to assit you in this repair or geta new one > good Luck
