Richard,
Open the back cover again and check the AD board connection it a wide flat cable, one end plugged to the panel with tape. Check that for lose connection, used your 2 thumbs put it all the way in... Now plugged all the cable in... tilt it up and turned on... if still come on with white screen...then you need a new AD board instead.

Compaq WF1907 monitor keeps going to sleep every couple minutes..

Sounds like the backlight may be on its way out.

Put a large font single word onto the screen in a high contrast such as white on black. Get the monitor near a window if possible, and the next time the monitor seems to go off, see if you can still feintly see the image using natural light.

The backlight can be replaced, but it is somtimes so expensive, it's easier to buy a new monitor.

How old is it?

My Samsung monitor 244T blinked several times and went black. A few days later I rebooted my computer and it blinked twice and went black. Now power light doesn't even go on. Help!

1).check your monitor cable and power cable.search google for how to check if you do not know...
2).change your RAM into another slot and check if u have 2 RAM interchange it and check..i prefer this must be the RAM problem..
normally when u insert any new RAM..sometimes it does not matches.. in this way the blinking can be happened...
3).disconnect all the cables of CD drive and DVD drive and any other except harddisk cables...and start the system with harddisk and without connecting the CD and DVD drive..
4).clean your processor cooling fan..search google for cleaning cooling fan..this makes the processor to reduce heat or apply cool paste to processor..
let me know that your computer monitor works fine with the above steps...."rate"

Hello, my iiyama routinely displays the Contrast menu and won't go away. I can click the Exit button on the monitor which only temporarily removes it.

15sunnybank, Did you try swapping it to a different PC to make sure that the problem is in the monitor and NOT in your PC? Sometimes when the DC voltages (which power up the electronic circuits in these LCD displays) become marginal due to age of unit, then weird stuff like unexpected/uncalled images/menu's could appear. First have a TECH type friend verify if all dc voltages are within specification. One more thing!! Don't post here without letting us know some history on the unit you hope to get help with. Age of unit?? Approx total # of "on" hours??

You could have a few different issues. You most likely have some sort of spyware and malware on your computer. Download some of the free cleaners available and clean things up a bit. You also probably have heat issues. Make sure your air vents are kept clean with a vacuum, not canned air. The canned air only blows the dirt into works. If you're using a laptop, canned air is probably the only option. Also, gat a cooling fan to put under the laptop. They work wonders but, you will have to keep those fan vents clean also.

Green power light blinks every 3 seconds with the word Xerox on the screen, with just a black screen. Could this be a bad Switching Power supply cord?

open it up... whats the worst that could happen... see if the caps are fine... if they are bloated exchange them... if you need help doing so hit me up at abelino24(at)sbcglobal(.)net... I've repaired like three of these in the past few months.. its always the capacitors. they either get really hot and bloat or don't function if it gets too cold... so the solution if to get the right caps at 470uf / 25v and 220uf / 25v... hopes this helps...
