IN reference to the Emerson EWF 2004, and I believe also for the EWF2006A, is to find the remote, or a universal remote, and access the INPUT menu from the remote. You cannot access INPUT menu from the buttons on the TV. At least if you can, I have not figured it out in the hours I've spent monkeying around with it. Everything I see that references what you need to enable/change is from the remote button ( INPUT). Also, the GAME mode, if it is ON then the ports on the front of the tv should work automatically. In order to hook accessory to the back SVIDEO plug, such as a computer for extra monitor or dvd movies, you will have to turn the GAME mode off, and hit INPUT on the remote several times ( at least thats what I have read on the internet.) to access the option to turn on the SVIDEO port on the back.

Hi, welcome to Fixya solutions, please post the exact make and model # and we'll see if we can find out how to navigate to the video inputs. Usually you can channel down below 02 and get to the AV inputs, or if there is a menu button on the from use the ch and vol buttons to navigate within the menu.
Please contact Fox-International.com for replacement remote. it's where I got mine or
just get a generic remote and any tv shop .
Actually I found there are several remotes that work. The first is the Bright House networks remote, the larger one that they provide you when you get digial service.
The second is The Universal Remove Control by GE. It's numbered 24944 in the upper right hand corner of the paper. It's sold for $4.94 at Walmart in the checkout area...
I found that manually inputting the code for the remote doesn't work. You have to do a search for the code using their method...on this particular remote from Walmart, its hold the setup button down until it lights up, then press and depress the TV button...then press channel up until the TV changes channels. It worked once, but I just kept going, the 2nd time it worked, then I pressed the mute button [to keep the code] and it works...you simply press input and it switches to AV.
I have to admit I thought it was ridiculous that you can't use this particular TV without the remote, but I was happy that I went through the effort the first time to keep trying remotes...
This is the first kids TV that I have found that you can't find the AV channel by going through the channels AND you can't hook up two items to the AV outlets because you have to disconnect the back or front ones, to use the other....PLUS it only comes with a dual AV outlet, instead of the 3 plugs [red, white, yellow] only has the white and yellow.
you might try going to channel 00 If you cannot just dial the number 00, go to channel 2 and then channel down. Does not always work, but without the model number of the TV it is hard to advise further
If you are sure, that there's no way to do it manually on the TV, there are only two solutions: buy a new remote controlaccording to your TV set model (sometimes it's hard to find) or buy a universal remote control
I had the same problem with a broken remote for the Akai CT-2868AT which meant I could not access the AV channel. I bought the one-for-all (model URC-7711) universal remote which worked with this model TV.
