Hi madmat77. I read somewhere to tip the dishwasher backwards on a 45 degree angle. This would reset the antiflood device located at its base. I left it this way for most of the day and when it was repositioned and switched back on it was fine. We've had no problems with it since this time. Hope that helps!

Dishwasher water line is smaller in diameter rhan a washing machine hose and uses different style connectors. You can get the correct parts as an installation kit at a hardware store.

Water in bottom of dishwasher.

I decided the machine was too old to fix, because it was over 5 years old and a seal could fail and flood my kitchen inspite of me fixing something else. So I called a truck to come pick it up for tomorrow, and then went under the sink and cut the drain hose and drained it into pails and stuff. So when they take it out, the standing, gross water wouldn't go everywhere. So it is fixed, lol, yes. Thankyou!

Dishwasher doesn't run

If you turn on the dishwasher and nothing happens: 1) Be sure the power is on, the door is latched, and the control is turned on. Also make sure the appliance cord is plugged into the electrical receptacle under the sink (some are hardwired and don't come unplugged). If it can be unplugged, make sure the electrical receptacle is working (plug in a working appliance or a circuit tester). 2) If that doesn't solve the problem, the door switch, the timer, or the selector switch may be defective. To solve the problem, you may be able to adjust the door latch's strike slightly, using a screwdriver (turn off the power to the dishwasher at the electrical panel when working on it). 3) If that doesn't work, call an appliance repairperson.
