SOURCE: channel information stays on screen for av channels

i had the same problem, press the i+ button and it goes off, but I think that it must be something more complicated, as i tried that initially and it didn't work. Perhaps some other intermittent bug causes it to jam for a while, when that bug has worked itself out the i+ works again

Just picked up an old Pioneer PDP 4304 HD 47in TV and sound will play through various inputs but NO Picture. That is only some little colorful speckles. Any Suggestions?

Please check if the video inputs are working as what is observed by you is that none are working. If so this means there is no signal processing specially Video and the fault seems related in the AV section. You need to use a signal test to confirm from the tuner section, to the IF section and the AV section.
Possible the fault seems related to a failure in the AV processor/ logic switch.

How do you enable the pioneer plasma pdp ro6fe HDMI settings? My HDMI input options do not currently allow selection & adustment

just plug in the HDMI cable from what ever equipment your using, then switch it on, put the other end into the back of the tv, take out any scart cables you have plugged in, just for now.
then find your AV source button on your remote, press it until it says HDMI.
the chances are,if it flickers or wont show, then you'll need to hook up the external equipment by scart cable & go into the picture settings & change it to a lower rez. (The tv wont be the problem)
i can't help you any more because you haven't said what it is your trying to do or hook up.....SKY BOX, DVD PLAYER, GAMES CONSOLE...e.t.c.
Or what make of TV it is.....

Select the menu and picture then select the I/R socket number.
That will select the infra red signal from your Sky box. A bit like selecting the AV input.

Panasonic TX P50V10B Plasma TV

In order to get any of the Freesat channels, you need to connect a Satellite dish to your TV. If you have a Sky dish, you simply need to run an extra Cable from the LNB from the dish and connect to your socket on the back of your TV.
In order to get Freeview channels and Analogue channels, you need to connect a aerial to the back of the TV.
There is a menu option for the TV to start straight to the AV input (your Sky HD box). It is Menu > Setup > Other Settings > Power on Preference. Select 'AV' for your TV to start on Sky HD.
Also even if you have your TV to start on TV, when you turn on your Sky HD box, it should automatically switch to the Sky box.

HDMI conneection wont override tv picture

I am a sky engineer (not a subby)
the reason this does not come on straight away is because a Scart lead send power upto your telly when it is turned on. Telling the telly that this is what you want.
Unfortunately HDMI does not send power upto the telly. There are ways around this. ON Samsung, Panasonic and Lg tellys you can go into a secret menu and apply something called HOTEL MODE this allows you to change the av input so it would automatically come on your hdmi 1,2,3, etc

In your case follow my instructions below

go to the hdmi you are using for your Hd

on the sky remote
Press SELECT and GREEN until LED flashes twice.
Press HELP then SELECT and the LED will flash Twice. what this mean is when you press your Sky button, tv guide, services or interactive button to turn the sky on this will automatically change your av/source on your telly to the sky HD for you

Have a good one
