the specs is already good for browsing and some sort of document editing. however, if you wish to play games or do video editing, i suggest you get a good video card. 1gb video card will be good. Even if you have a good amount of ram but your video processing memory is shared, it will definitely slow your computer.
For most newer games you need a higher end graphics card, a fast processor (at least 2 Ghz Dual Core), and at least 2 GB of ram. There is little chance that there is a problem with your computer other than there might be programs running in the background such as anti-virus programs. If you disable your anti-virus software and the games are still slow, you should consider an upgrade.
I suggest you install an AGP video card that suits your requirements. If you play games that require a powerful graphics card, then I recommend the G Force range of graphics cards. A computer shop can recommend to you a graphics card depending upon what programs you are running on your computer. The games programs usually recommends a graphic card with their games.
Don't forget to disable/turn off the on-board graphics card in the BIOS if you use an external graphics card.
