My System: WinXP Home&Pro Edition with USB IrDA and Jornada 520. I had no problem at all until i started downloading some piece of software from the net. Suddenly my jornada stopped communicating with WinXP (sync error) but works fine as a guest. So, i made a full backup throught the guest and then hard reset. After that i made a typical restore for my valuable data and the problem was still there! So, i did another hard reset and i made a partnership (without trying to restore). I synchronized the data fine (!), but i lost the whole settings.... Where is the problem? The software i tried to launch was: 1) greek support trial from penreader.com 2) flash player for pocket 2002 without a chance 3) money 2001,2002,2003 support without a chance to make it work 4) the ruler utility 5) the tuner utility from penreader.com that's it any ideas?

This may be a simple case of removing all the entire active sync directory. If you used to connect via serial+com it wont be detected on usb. Remove active sync from your pc via the add remove program feture, then reboot and re install. Then run the make a connection again from active sync. Hope this helps
