There may be a backed up folder on another partition of your hardrive with the restore files, but you should have an anti virus programme installed, if not download this free AVG 8 and then restart your pc in safe mode (press F8 while booting and select safe mode).

click on the administrator account and find the AVG8 download, install it, the go to my computer, right click, properties, system restore tab and untick 'turn on system restore'.

run the AVG 8 programme and scan your system.

Once virusus are found, reboot system and then run as normal and then turn back on system restore

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Why does it take so long to boot up

It is taking so long to boot up because you have a lot of junk loading up at boot up, and you probably also have an anti virus program to really mess things up.

You will have to clean up your act to get the machine to function at a reasonable speed.
Dump your virus program , and using run command enter msconfig and remove all the checkmarks, reboot and you will immediately see the difference!

Get rid viruses

Hey Camry, if you believe your computer is running slow due to viruses then run an antivirus program. I recommend AVG AntiVirus (it's also free). Before you download it make sure you uninstall other antivirus programs on your computer if you have any. More than one can really mess with your computer. Once you download it, scan your computer. Then scan for malware (most likely you have malware and not virus). Download Spybot or malwarebytes (this should not interfere with AVG) and scan for malware. Then just restart your computer and hopefully it goes a little bit faster. I say little bit because usually there more problems than just malware issues. Such as not enough space on you hard drive. Delete things you do not NEED. Freeing up space can really improve the speed of your computer. Also, if your computer is getting hot (if you feel it or you hear your fan running full speed) I suggest you get a laptop fan. My laptop has no virus or malware and only has half of the memory used and is 5 years old (Dell latitude) but when it gets hot (my average temp for dual core: 75 degrees C). This really slows down my computer. You can download programs that will tell you the temp of your laptop. Also make sure you shut your laptop down once in a while to clear the RAM.
Sorry it is so lengthy but there is so much that one can do to make the laptop go faster. I hope this helps you though, if it does not give me your feedback. Good luck. - Joe.

I have a HP(1010NR) mini laptop that is full of viruses. How do I reboot the computer?

Reboot means to restart it. If it really "full of viruses" as you say, don't even boot it; buy a new hard drive.

What really can be the cause of my pc rebooting the moment i insert my pendrive?

Hello there.
If you are saying that the computer reboots everytime you insert the USB device, most likely the cause of this behavior is due to a virus. A virus that is currently on your pen drive. I would suggest you have it scanned first using an Anti-virus so that your computer will not be infected.

THE ONLY WORKS CLEAR THERE ARE.
"pc is moved to reboot," (not clear either"

IS THIS A POST. SAYING
1: MY OLD Desktop Computer DC8000 PUTER IS FAILING
2: is random reboots,

first tell what works
PC works ,OS seems to work
NO virus (LOL ,impossible to be clean really)
then want to play videos,.sure
down load free VLC
does that run,? sure it will
but does it.?
if yes,good
if no, the tell in details what it does good and bad.

then and only then can help get better.
its really a COMPAQ
HP Compaq 8000 Elite PC
learn this about microsoft windows
not one OS by MS< support all 100 video formats
even less with W10, not more.
us VLC if that fails it can be many things wrong.
overheated PC or CPU or GPU
a Virus, sure, in most cases for sure.
low memory is the memory swapping out.. add more memory.
(swapping means the CPU simulates missing memory using slow HDD files) HORRID place to be, so add more memory.
power supply overload
VGA card bad, or power cords to it missing (if fitted)
to my back ground processes running , overloading the CPU and MEm.
there that is enough.

My Compaq Armada m700 will shut down on it's own. When I try to restart it the screen is really messed up. If I let it sit and cool down it will then reboot okay. Is this because it is getting too hot...

It's either heat or virus related. 1st clean your vents with a can of compressed air. 2nd listen to make sure your fan is spinning. If these are all clean & working then run a good anti-virus program to make sure your laptop is not infected. If heat is still a problem you can purchase a laptop cooling pad for around $30. Hope this helps.

Unable to get updates with any applications

I used a program called Trojan Remover. That's actually the name of it. It's seems to be a simple application, but the design of it must be pretty sophisticated. It turned out that there were rogue users messing with my DNS server, whatever that means. That's why I wasn't getting updates on anything. I rebooted the computer and the thing worked like the first day I got it. I mean this is not exactly a crappy old computer. I've updated the processor and I have 8GB of ram. So it's competes with today's computers, but the thing was running like an old Commodore. Everything seems to be working now. Plus there were viruses that disabled by Anti-Virus program from working properly. I was this close to re-installing windows, but I went to Major Geeks; those guys are pretty smart over there and they recommneded this program. It works, it really does.

My computer keeps rebooting

Hello, Yes, first try to clean from any virus (most like it's the problem), but if doesn't work it could be that your PC power supply is overloaded and switch off. Check if you are connecting more hardware to your PC after unpacking in the new place than before....printers, scanners, etc, etc. Good luck.
