Question about Computers & Internet
Yes, if the a250n doesn't have a wireless card that was added to it, you do have to add one.
Think of wireless networking like a radio station.
The base unit (in your case the LinkSys) it the transmitter.
So you need to have a reciever to be able to "hear" the LinkSys.
That's where the wireless network card come in.
These are fairly cheap (like $15 to $40 depending on model),
You just have to make sure it is compatable look for the 802.11 match. There is 802.11 A/B/G and N and Pre-N
G is currently the most common, with N being the newest (and the fastest).
But, the reciever will only recieve what the base puts out, so check the stats on the LinkSys. More then likely the G will work.

She would need a wireless card. Make sure the 802 standard is the same as the router supports. An n wireless card will not work on a router that is a g. you can also enter the settings of the router to make sure it is set to the accept the standard she uses on her wireless. my linksys can do b and g... but i have it set to only accept g. make sure you set security on the router when you have a connection establish so you aren't sharing your internet with wireless neighbours.
