Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer
Hi there, I have a HP Color Laser jet 2600n that prints fine most colors except red and yellow, which it virtually doesn't print at all except a few streaks of these colors. I have a feeling that the problem could be that the printer nozzle of something like that could have dried out as there wasn't a cartridge in there for a while until we got a new one??? could something like this have happened? it still prints black and some colors such as blue fine. How could i clean the printer.
I think I found a good service manual at this link but I'm afraid of being ripped off, and pay the money and not get a proper serviceing manual:
Do you think the link is ok??
Thanks a lot for your help
It's normally caused by dirty scanner mirrors, the machine will need to be dissembled, the laser scanner unit removed, taken apart and the mirrors cleaned. Unfortunately it is quite fiddly getting the scanner unit out, but this is a very common problem for the HP colour laserjet 2600's
If you want the service manual it can be downloaded from the following link free of charge http://www.eserviceinfo.com/equipment_mfg/HP_22.html
