That's easy ground goes on the top green screw at about 1 o'clock the others can be ether way see picture .. go to your local pool pump motor repair guy and ask him how 2 take better care of your pump.. he can save you thousands of dollhair$ over the years .. jay pump guy longwood Florida Need to reconnect wiring inside - 9_30_2011_7_56_42_pm.jpg

Here's some more info diagrams for you http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/aosmith/AO_CONNECT.PDF L1 is one hot wire L2 is the other hot wire. L1 can not be connected to a L2 wire and L2 can not be connected to a L1. Ground only to ground.

My A.O SMITH booster pump for my pool has a capacitor that smokes alot when i turn it on. I replaced it and it does the same. What causes that?

Your electric motor needs new bearings in it.. The capacitor gives the pump a kick to get
it going.

Which wires goes to which post ? Just bought an ao smith 3/4 hp booster motor for my polaris pool cleaner. It has two yellow wire posts. Which do I conect the black and white wires to?

It does not matter. Just make sure it is set to the correct voltage your system supplies to it and that you put pne wire on each terminal as the diagram on the side of the motor will show you.
