Question about Harley Davidson Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Desktop Telephone
The right turn signal indicator light stays on. the right rear turn signal stays on and it blows the acces. fuse in the fuse box after riding it for awhile. then i loose the horn, turn signals, cruise, brake lights, tack and speedo.
This is going to be one of three things, and you should check them in this order, 1- you have a loose connection, bad/broken ground wire, or an exposed/bare wire on, around, or in line with the rear signal that is staying on. It's common for the wiring insulation to rub through and short at the bend where the signal wires go through the signal mount and run down the rear fender strut. 2- the switch on the bars is sticking or malfunctioning, however, this is less likely because it usually causes both signals to remain on. and 3- the flasher relay has malfunctioned and needs replaced. I'll bet that this is a bare wire, so start by tracing the signal wires for the right side. If you don't find a bad wire, then replace the relay. Let me know what you found out.
