Printing with streaks of image missing on one edge of paper

    Thanks, but what does this mean and how do you rectify it? Do I need a new drum, or developer unit?

Toner missing on that side of developper ( where toner is stored to go on paper) or drum

    1-open the right door you should see the drum which is most likely a Green cilynder is it damaged ? it should be shiny and smooth all the way around. Line up the copy to it and see if it matches where it's having problems, yes? then replace - No

    2- then it most likely is coming from the developper, for this you will have to call a tech,

    a) to adjust a blade in the developper

    b) to see if the rolle in the DV needs to be changed



    My suggestion is to find a tech that does side work:

    big Co. like IKON, Sharp, Xerox charge $ 125/ hr 1hr min. plus parts

    mom &pop service Co $ 75-85 /hr plus parts

    a side tech may start around $45 plus parts !!!!



    You can try doing it yourself and buy the parts and ask for the instructions

There's a paper jam while the paper is trying to exit the printer. The definition of the error is saying that the leading edge of the paper has reached the exit sensor, but the other end of the paper hasn't yet. Because it's jammed...

It could just be a regular paper jam that needs to be cleared, or it could be a faulty exit sensor or a faulty registration roller, or registration sensor. I'd try clearing the jam thoroughly, and then try printing again. If it's a recurring error then you may need to call someone to replace a faulty part...

U need to check your developer material. How many copiers has been made?

U can also perform 05-200 for the auto toner adjustment. The value should be in the range of 235-245% ( 2.35v - 2.45v )

Pinstripes in image after print (phaser 8560)


Appropriate cleaning procedures, as listed in the following tables, should be
performed when specific print-quality or paper transport problems occur.
All cleaning procedures are detailed in the printer’s Phaser 8400 Reference Guide or
the Phaser 8500/8550 User’s Guide.
Light Stripes or Missing Colors
Problem type Solution
Missing or light-colored
stripes on prints.
Select the automated procedure Eliminate Light Stripes from
the Control Panel.
Ink Smears, Oil Spots, or Random Ink Streaks
Problem type Solution
Ink smears on the front,
back, or edges of a page.
Select the automated procedure Remove Print Smears from
the Control Panel.
Check the maintenance kit for ink and paper-dust build-up on
the wiper blade.
Oil (drum fluid) on top edge
of print.
Select the automated procedure Remove Print Smears from
the Control Panel.

I
Streaks in direction of paper travel
There are dark lines running along
the page in the direction of paper
travel from the leading edge to the
trailing edge (B-size print shown).
The printer displays no error code.
Note A-size prints are processed
through the printer with the short
edge of the print parallel to the
direction of the paper path --
making horizontal print artifacts
parallel to the shot edge of the
print.
B-size prints are processed
through the printer with the long
edge of the print parallel to the
paper path -- making horizontal
artifacts parallel to the long axis
of the print.
1. Check the end of life for each of
the consumables by printing the
supplies usage page. From the front panel’s Printable Pages Menu, select
Print Supplies Page.
2. Run the solid fill test pages; From the front panel’s Printable Pages Menu,
select Service Pages, then select Print Solid Fill Pages. If the missing bands
only occur in a single primary color, replace the print cartridge of the affected
color.
3. Swap print cartridges and run another test print.
Note Under some circumstances, streaking may occur in the margin of
SRA3-size paper. This is due to the edges of the paper extending
beyond the end of the imaging components. print-quality in the
margins of SRA3 paper is not guaranteed.
4. Inspect the Accumulator Belt cleaner; replace the cleaner, if necessary.
5. Run the Remove Print Smears routine. From the front panel’s Support Menu,
select Improve Print-Quality?, then select Remove Print Smears.
6. Replace the Developer Housing Assembly (RRP 27, on page 7-171).
7. Remove the print cartridge and (with a flashlight) check for debris along the
edge of the developer housing.

2 Missing ink black streaks


Check the dev unit for missing lines. Also clean the laser glass with the supplied cleaner pad - though if the problem were caused by toner on the lens, there would be gaps in ALL colours.

Check the dev units first. You can also do a stop test whilst a full colour test image is half way through printing and see if the lines are missing off the image on the PCU as well.

Pages printing with streaks.


try making a copy on the glass, does it come out with the streaks or clean?
If clean then look at the strip glass on the copier there is a pen dot or white out that 's giving you the streak. clean.

Ricoh Aficio cl2000


Most of the time when I find this happening on a printer, not just Ricoh's it turns out to be the PCU (photo conductor unit). The color PCU is one unit and the black is a seperate unit. Hope this helps.

Black smudge streaks on rightside of printed/copied material


Can only be two things the drum or the fuser. More than likely drum they last about 4 toners i think.

Learn the art of getting a page to stop halfway threw printing, you want to stop the page after the drum has put a image on the paper but before paper has gone threw the fuser (hotbit).

Once you have mastered the position correctly by stopping the printing by opening the door and removing drum/toner cartridge, to reveal the paper that is printed but can be rubbed off, we will know if marks are coming from the drum (you will see them) or from the fuser, if print is fine.
