The "U12" is due to the magnet that is attached at the tip of the lid. the magnet acts as a sensor that give info whether the lid is closed or open. Either the magnet has come off or it is not aligned properly.

so how do i fix the problem? do i take the green lid off and locate the magnet? because prior to the problem, i did find a bar of magnet in the laundry pile.

I magnet is good. Copper conducter is still look new. Then its Door Safety switch. I buy the spare part from Shopee and Fix it myself. Because of PANASONIC wants me to Pre-order it and wait for 3-4weeks.

Panasonic NA-F70B2. The erro code U12 when start spin with stop moving. How ?
The error code U12 shows in my washing machine ( Panasonic NA-F70GS) because the lid is broken (the part no of lid unit is AXW001G6TP5J and cost around RM 64.00 in Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Tel: 03-55437600) or you can also get it in Tong Kong (SS3 or SS2 - Tel: 03-78755946).
Hi, my washing machine is a panasonic NA-F70S7 and had error code U12, upon checking the code it should be the lid is closed. i've already closed the lod properly and its still had an error. what other troubleshooting for that code. and where can i can i find that magnet? thanks in advance
Its a switch. Clean the contact. Should be ok
where is spesific location of that switch?
1. Remove the lid.(turn off power 1st)
2. Remove the inlet water hose
3. Remove the top cover
4. U can see the sensor next to water pump. The sensor connect to the small rod on the lid hinge
5. Check and service the copper plate inside the sensor assembly

U12 is a heating element or drive, electronic fault, it also maybe the thermistor or thermostat itself, however without examining the unit it is hard to tell?
