Repair of room air conditioner /window unit

When power is connected to my Maytag air conditioner' model # M6Y18F7A-E, the only thing that happens is that i get the code "EE" on the led screen. The power button doesn"t work at all. Could it be that I need a new panel with a new board ?

ON THE FIRST PAGE were new procedures for resetting the error code. Unplug unit, clean filter, HOLD DOWN power button and CONTINUE HOLDING while plugging unit back in. Unit will beep. Unplug again, plug back in and resume normal operation.

Maytag M6Y18F7A Air Conditioner troble light turns off

you have to open the unit up or atleast see if the fan is failing. The blower motor is usually a double shaft and cool the compressor and also blows the air across the evaporator. Look for the air to stop blowing then the compressor to shake from overheating.

Window air cond unit, several years old, doesn't blow as cold

The problem with window units and any service tech will tell you it cost more to repair than you can buy at Walmart or home depot. Unless you know someone who can charge it for you. Window units are a sore subject. A 200 dollar window unit might cost 200 dollars to charge system. SORRy rusty

I have a Maytag M6Y18F7A Air Conditioner window unit & am having problems w/ the thermostatic control not dropping below 75o. Originally, the unit switched to 67o which wasn't really a concern, but 75o...

This sounds like the control board has malfunctioned. You might have to have it replaced. When you have it on, does the unit switch off at 75o or does it continue to run? Also check the temp of the air leaving the unit, it needs to be below 55o's.
