Question about Kodak EasyShare CX7430 Digital Camera
I dont know what happened or anything.
but my camera lens wont extract...you can hear it start to try and come out, and then the screen goes blank, and the camera turns off..
is there anyway to fix it where the lens will extract & work again without taking it into a shop to get repaired with high costs??
I think it could be a memory card problem. Can you try taking out the camera and put on the camera and see what happens.

SOURCE: lens error, restart camera
Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.
